Now that I ride a Gravel Bike alot, suddenly cant stop watching these Tour de France stages each night.

These dudes are machines, guys. They ride down a flat road at 35mph! For reference, Im strong and can barely maintain 19mph for a 10k on my Gravel Bike. (Granted, if I had tights and a nice Road Bike… but still, these dudes are MONSTERS)

Their legs are metal.

addicted to this bicycling sh!t. Wish I was 25 again, Id go race that or die trying! Wish we could all post personal pictures and show eachother what were up to. Projects and such.

To answer Handsome Vic.
I think the way it works is, the equipment in your shorts doesnt factor in when joining a Grand Tour Team. Whether its a Johnson or a Trough dont mean jack, what matters is, Can you turn a hunk of metal with two hoops into an asphalt sailboat? These guys are absolute Cheetahs. Not an ounce of grizzle on them legz!

What I have been learning is much about the overall tactics, like team drafting. You dont simply ride in that race as an individual. The teams produce faster times. Im learning all the terminology like Breakaways, Chase, Peloton.

Also, there are multiple titles, time trials, team time trials, fastest climbers, fastest sprinters etc… its not just one overall winner, its a a broad spectrum of respected talent.

Above Red bicycle is a Road Bike. Very light, No shocks, slim with skinny tires. Its built for speed and is useless off the pavement.

The “gravel bike” is much like a road bike but compromises for rugged durability are made at the expense of speed, notice the fatter tires and slightly for beefy frame.

Next we have a Mountain Bike which is useless on bike trails and pavement! Many people buy these spongy riding, super cushioned bicycles which are meant for mountain trails, cliff faces with boulders and riding trough stream beds. They are SLOW. Its ridiculous to see someone blow $2000 buying one of these and then ride it down a city bike path at 8mph. LOL Dumbasses.

And finally, all other bicycles are like BMX or gay beach comber bicycles meant for vaginas and twinks. Relax, Im only kidding. Nothing wrong with a bike meant exclusively for cruising or grabbing groceries.

No, no womens tour. Tried in the past but there is admittedly no interest in it from either spectators point of view or sponsors. Plenty of women cyclists over there ignore no demand for it and blame it on sexism, of course anywhere where women dont get handed something men worked for and proved had a viable market that made money, they blame on sexism. But thats the lack of deep thinking we see when all you have is throwing out the sexism card.

Their own words show how idiotic they are with their flawed premises. They think men are just given things because they are men. Like if the race wasnt a big draw and financially profitable, it would just keep going. But instead we have crap like the wnba which cant support itself and requires a couple hundred million charity dollars a year from the mens nba to keep an unsustainable lesbian basketball system going no one wants to see. Does anyone claim it was sexist for the xfl or other attempts at different football systems to fail because they couldn’t draw enough people and money? Nope.

If there was demand for it and it was financialy viable there would be people wiling to make a go of it.

Heres the Beach Comber bike. Nothing wrong with that but I prefer Gravel Bikes myself. You can take curbs hard and ride through grass, sand and gravel with no fear of a puncture while also maintaining a stiff suspension because there are no shocks to sap your speed.

When I was a boy, I rode BMX wannabe bicycles. Then as a teen/highschooler, I road a goddamn Mountain Bike to work and school everyday (thats where I learned to HATE mountain bikes, getting my legs rekt on a pavement trying to ride it to work). Then years later in my twenties, I breifly had an E-Bike which was sort of like a Gravel Bike but the tires were too skinny and popped on a curb and the bike was too HEAVY because of the stupid brushless motor and battery. Ebikes are fvcking useless pieces of sh!t — dont ever buy one! After all those experiences, I knew good an well what I needed. That is why, when I finally got serious and purchased a $1600 bicycle, I purchased a Kona Rove Bicycle. A gravel Bike! Next purchase will be a ROAD BIKE! love it.

There is a Women’s Tour de France. I briefly heard them mention it. They were using the course before the men and delayed the race! LOL. But all joking aside, yes, women are anatomically inferior to men and cannot compete directly in sports (omg that’s sexist! lol) …

BUT THE MAIN REASON Women’s Cycling is weak, is because bicycles hurt women’s vagina. No joke, they have a range of special seats and stuff to try and make up for the brutal pounding that a saddle does to their beavers. I feel bad for them because cycling is a very special and useful thing for keeping a great physique at minimal effort. Cycling is fun, easy and very healthy! Yet women are screwed because its puts the pain on their coochie like no other. I contemplated getting a Noseless Seat myself but I got past it…

Glad you are passionate about it! You gotta have something that keeps you excited, engaged and fit.

I piddle with mt biking technical rooty, climby trails around here but could see me liking gravel biking. Where do you ride? Not far from here in the mountains are zillions of forestry or fire roads to ride. That could be cool.

Road biking isn’t my thing – I run the s~~~ out of mountain trails though – with great views and have done numerous Ultras. I just started doing this within the last 3-4 years and at post 50 I’m still getting faster. I knocked out a half in the mountains last week in 1:35. I gotta drop a few more lbs and kick up the training a bit. Admittedly, drinking Alkeehawl with my buds is a hinderance and needs to be checked for obvious reasons.

Keep it up, Gravel Pit – this biking s~~~ will keep you healthy and increase your longevity and happiness levels! Cheers.

There’s Terrain for each kind of bike. I was in Florida last October and riding through a swamp area with a mountain bike. It was flat but because of the huge roots and rough terrain of the trail, a Mountain bike was great.

I cant wait until 4 o’clock today when I clock out and attack the bike path! Addicted !

I like to ride, too.
I’ve always heard the “gravel” bikes referred to as hybrids, but gravel bikes is more suitable.
]Anyway, I’ve ridden roads, trails and mountains.
I love all of them except for trying to mix it up with cars on the streets and roads kinda sucks.
Looking to get back into riding paved trails and mountain-biking again really soon, after I get myself moved.

It is like that with women’s football/soccer in the UK at the moment. It is utter s~~~ and noone wants to watch it but the msm keep banging on about it and now the main sports channels have been infested with “expert” women pundits on every football show

They just can’t leave it alone. I used to love football but this season with VAR and the shedload of females getting involved (loads of female sports fans all of a sudden as well), I just can’t be bothered anymore and find myself not caring
