Somebody please explain why e-sports are segregated between genders? This is not a contest of physical strength, but a contest based purely on wits. To separate genders in such a sporting enviroment is an insult to everyone involved.

It can only be seen as a confession that male and female wit is not evenly matched, and will be so unless the female players ask for there to be no division of the sexes. And if they did accomplish this, they would just prove, that in fact, there is a divide between the ability of the sexes to accomplish yet another task, as women will not do well vs. men. I have been a MMO gamer for about a decade now, even the best women are only about as good as the average guys who play.

The bottom line is that women say men and women are the same except when treating them the same hurts women. Women don’t want equality, they want special privilege and they want it given willingly so that the can never be challenged on it or be made to feel guilty and inferior for taking it.

True, but pvp in games like World of Warcraft it is like playing a high speed game of chess vs. many opponents at once, counters that must be done quickly seem to trip female players up. The sheer amount of keybinds is crazy. My mouse for example has 14 buttons just for my thumb… Female gamers I have run into are terrible at PVP, and stick to the dress up for sure. The few decent PVP females I have seen are barely as good as your average male player. With the amount of buttons/counters and how quickly and wisely they must be done, it is hardly “slow”. I don’t think you have 40+ buttons in shooters either.

You’re right. I give them too much credit. It’s really me who is suffering from cognitive dissonance here. Let me try to figure this out:

1) There is no such thing as biological gender. Gender is purely a social construct that is assigned at birth based on superficial and irrelevant variations in genitalia and reinforced by raising some children within a framework of toxic and aggressive masculine roles and others within a framework of subservient and oppressed feminine roles through the use of toys, colors, styles of clothes, encouragement/discouragement and so forth.

Right, I didn’t mean they are easy. They are literally slow as there is a limit of 1 action per second for most abilities, and also the movement speed is slow. In most other game genres (except turn based strategy) there is no such limit and the characters move faster.

Why, in chess, it’s the same. A “woman grandmaster” is barely a “FIDE master” (two classes below grandmaster) in male chess. The very best female player (J. Polgar) in all chess history earned a real (male) grandmaster title – and still was never among the top-ten players.
