    So…

Yeah; i’ve got a s~~~ load of “microcavities”

I know fluoride does dick all, and causes a lot of mental issues as you get older – and does more harm to your teeth than good; so, i’ve come to the conclusion of trying to make my own toothpaste.

So far i have Baking Soda & Coconut Oil.

Any ideas on any other ingredients? Aside from flavouring?
I’m having such a hard time finding any information on anything aside from those two :S

I would suggest flossing and getting a nice electric toothbrush like Interplak. I also get my teeth water jet cleaned — much less painful than the scraping on my gums. You can add peppermint extract for flavor and sea salt for minerals. Health effects of low level fluoride exposure from drinking water is controversial, but I think it increases rates of hip fractures and dementia. In my view, it’s okay in toothpaste as if you rinse you are NOT ingesting much. Ingestion is what’s bad for you, and typically, unavoidable unless you carbon filter your water or use a well.

I’m mainly looking to re mineralize / heal the teeth to stop the “microcavities”. thus saving thousands for me.

I don’t eat a lot of sugar; maybe pop once a week.

I did read that non-fermented breads contain phytic acid which slows / prevents healing of teeth and bones in general.
I’m also developing an intolerance to bread anyway 🙁 seems to be much less with fermented breads like sourdough.

Aside from the diet & toohpaste.

On my todo list would be finding the right fluoride free mouthwash and adding it into my routine.

I’ve already had an electric toothbrush; seems my teeth build up a lot after a while, so a dental scraper might not be too bad of an idea; for once in a while. And floss is slowly being reintroduced.

@Lodoss, i suppose for extra abrasive and and anti-bacterial. and just occurred to me to add calcium to the mix 😛

Instead of salt you also can use activated carbon powder (charcoal granulat powder), and/or silica.
Impedes halitosis, strong antibacterial and bleaching without harming the teeth.

and does more harm to your teeth than good

I think there might actually be something to this. I was told by my stepmom’s brother, whom is a dentist, that I have soft teeth and will always have cavities, even if I brushed 24/7. This was back in the 80’s and I did have a lot of cavities. I got into a weird habit of brushing my teeth in the mornings only and just a couple years ago had 2 cavities after 25-30 years. Just two. I know my teeth will fail eventually, but honestly only 2 cavities in all that time, when as a kid I had a LOT of them. Just seems odd to me. Not saying one way or the other, but something sure is fishy.

Avoid all fluoride! It is the same ingredient used in rat poison and excessive use causes cancer, brain damage, blocks pineal gland output, etc. Look at NRCs report in the 90s.

Tom’s of Maine, honest toothpaste make them flouride free, SLS free even gluten free toothpaste can be found. Buy from Amazon if you cannot find in your local stores..

There is a reason why they flouridate our water in the States…in Europe they banned it. If you look at some of the fast food concoctions they are trying to feed us garbage/poison.

Search- Xylitol. It is said to neutralize bacteria that causes tooth decay.

Tom’s of Maine is pretty good stuff if you don’t want to spend time mixing your own batch up, I think they have. I use this stuff I get from Vitamin shop in black licoriche? (I am a freak, I know) I floss once a day and that’s it….no problems with my teeth.
