I was looking at the page for the new Jungle Book movie coming out next month, and according to the trivia section, the voice of Kaa the Snake was purposely switched to a female voice because Jon Favreau (producer/director) felt that the original animated Jungle Book had too many male characters in it.

Very likely I will end up seeing this movie even though the snake character, Kaa, is now voiced by a female instead of a male character.

I remember noticing that a few months ago. It really annoyed me. I’ll still see it because I actually enjoyed the animated version.

I made a post on this a while back, and what some of the guys on here told me was kinda genius:

Of all the people for a woman to play, what better than a sneaky, conniving snake?

I heard the female snakes are more violent and vicious than male snakes. I wonder if this version of Kaa is going to hypnotize anyone? If so and being a female voice, fits the role.

Can’t wait for them to make Kipling’s Kim with a female lead. Then again it might get a pass for having enough female parts.

the Kulu woman (the Sahiba)- an old foul mouthed noble woman
the Woman of Shamlegh (Lispeth) a strong woman with many husbands
    a nameless Lucknow prostitute
    Huneefa – a sorceress

Why not just make a f~~~ing movie about a female character? Ayesha, She Who Must Be Obeyed from She: A History of Adventure would be a good start.

I loved the original Jungle Book as a kid and I used to be obsessed with the old Sega game. I just hope they don’t f~~~ this movie up in the name of feminism/gynocentricism.

Oddly enough, I’m ok with the snake being voiced by a woman. It fits the character as well as it fits women.

All movies and TV are f~~~ed up with feminism now.

Everything that does not have feminist influence is sexist.

Gone are the days of Magnum PI and John Wane and Han Solo and Mohamad Ali and NFL players not being schooled in feminism and Lone Ranger and Father Knows Best and Quincy MD and Ozzy and Harriet and Star Trek “Boldly go where no man has gone before” and Bruce Lee and The Gipper and Battle Star Galaticica(StarBuck) . Raiders of the Lost Ark was replaced with Lara Croft Tomb Raider. The days of Gone With the Wind are gone with the wind of feminism. To write or say lines like “Frankly my dear i dont give a damn” thats horribly sexist and contributing to the abuse of women.Spider man without Spider Woman thats sexist.Super Man without Wonder Woman thats sexist.

Vote with your feet and money.

frankly my dear i don't give a damn

Monkeys are cool… the hyaena should be women. There were hyaena in the Jungle Book, weren’t there?

Hell, just make Mowgli a girl and get it over with. She can grow up to be Tarzan and then they can get John Oliver to play the part of Jane.

There was a “man eating Bengal Tiger”. That was the bad guy. Perfect role for a woman for sure.

While singing “I Wanna Be Like You” to Mowgli.

No that was The Lion King, where Scar had 3 annoying hyenas doing his bidding. In The Jungle Book, there were wolves, a bear, a panther, a tiger, a kingdom of apes, an army of elephants, and vultures.

I’m probably not going to see this movie. Why remake an already good animated adaptation?
