this is part of a long term plan, to emerge in may or june of 2020 with a new degree, a new skillset and a higher earning trajectory. until then, it will be the grind of prerequisite work, maybe some accounting courses and useless bulls~~~.

    Big deal May.

I was hoping for a meet up when I figured out you were in Florida. Next thing I knew you were heading back to middle earth.

If you get back to Florida area let us know.

stroking the barrel with a cloth, working the gun oil in, plunging the wire brush in an out slowly, grunting slightly against the tight stiffness of the copper brush against the tightly spiraled rifling in the barrel… a little smirk on my face, and a little sweat on my brow.

You need help my friend. As far as the farmers daughter is concerned tell her Oldschool is on his way, she will never walk right again. So all the stuff you own was in your trunk? The same trunk that fit both our range bags with room to spare?

I felt the same way when I bought my first house that did not have a woman’s name alongside mine on the title. It was freedom! Congrats man!!!!

    Good for you, May!

I know how hard it is not to have your own place. When I got out of the Army, many years ago, it was hard for me to find a job. I lived with relatives and slept on couches. Then I got 2 jobs and rented rooms in people’s houses. I also bought inflatable mattresses (that deflated). It took me a long time to get an apartment. I had to get a few pay raises at my job.

It is nice to have privacy. I like having a stove and my own pots & pans. I like taking hot showers in the morning. I bought a lamp from a hardware store and a lamp stand from a thrift store. I bought a mattress for about $90 and a padded chair for about $30 at a discount furniture store.

I’ll keep working and saving up money so I can upgrade my life. My situation may not be great, but at least it’s temporary. I’m fighting for my American Dream just like the immigrants that came before me.

"I saw that there comes a point, in the defeat of any man of virtue, when his own consent is needed for evil to win-and that no manner of injury done to him by others can succeed if he chooses to withhold his consent. I saw that I could put an end to your outrages by pronouncing a single word in my mind. I pronounced it. The word was ‘No.’" (Atlas Shrugged)

Im genuinely happy for you. I cant imagine how it feels. Perfect representation of the adage “Hard work pays off.” Congratulations!

Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life. -Steve Jobs

Sorry I got in so late congratulating you.
Nothing feels better than having your own space and you’re going your own way from here – up up up.

    I’ve never been homeless.
But when I was in full hermit mode I rented the cheapest place I could find. Slept on an inflatable mattress, owned 1 pot and 1 set of utensils/plates, my meditation gear, and a laptop for entertainment.
Not a stick of furniture anywhere.

Even when I got my first house, that was always a good time in my memory. Total freedom for a few years.
There’s something to be said for minimal living. And someday I hope to be back to that……

Congrats on everything man! You earned it!

Whatever you do, do not let it become you prison. I think it was the Forever night series that said, Material wealth is a burden. Well thanks to virtual currency, not even a problem anymore.

Just don’t get to comfortable. Remember we especially in the United States don’t own anything per se or just simply renting it.

Be sure to use that home as a resource.

Too Many Men I now getting to a place and then basically just giving up.

do not stop living life. It may get lonely. Just don’t stop yourself from growing.

    And A SUPER DUPER CONGRATS!

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home
