    Politicians the world over tell us they go to the capitol to “serve the people.” Well, they’re serving us alright:

    I’m convinced Damon Knight had senators and congressmen in mind when he wrote the original story. They do have a habit of retiring as multimillionaires — after a career spent telling us little people to pay our taxes and shut up.
