Titus (Television show).

Hey guys, I disappeared for a bit do to personal s~~~ but I have come back!

So hello again guys.

One of my favorites shows ever was the show Titus. Regardless of your personal opinion of the man Christopher Titus, he deals with issues at the beginning of the 2000’s that no one else would touch, such as:

-An entire episode called “The last Noel,” in which Titus attends the funeral of a violent abusive ex girlfriend named Noel to make sure that she was dead.

-In another episode, Titus depicts dragging a child molesting family friend into a bathroom stall to beat his ass for sexually abusing his 15 year old niece.

-Through numerous episodes, Titus dives into his real life mothers schizophrenic behavior and how the effected him as a child and adult. Yes, his actual mother was diagnosed schizophrenic. The whole first season is based off real events from his life.

The show lasted three seasons and was canceled. One rumor is because of the depiction of violence to the child molester. The other big rumor was because Fox executives wanted more control over content on the show. Titus told them to go f~~~ themselves, per the rumor.

This was a prime time network television show on Fox.

Anyone else a fan?

I have the DVD’s. It is great show. Stacy Keach (sp.?) did a great job. One of his lines that I love was “You know why divorce costs so much? Because they’re worth it!” Very funny show. I may re-watch the DVD’s.

I remember the show. Christopher Titus is actually scheduled to perform at a local venue downtown here. His standup routine was also pretty good.

Yep! Awesome comic and very funny writer. Loved his TV show. He has some stuff on youtube too, if you are not familiar with his work.

I never watched the show but have listened to many of his stand ups and he is brutally honest. I remember hearing the crowd get uncomfortable when he talked about how his mother was a c~~~. Yea, used the C word too. Great comedian.

I saw his stand-up a few years before he got the sitcom and was amazed at raw honesty. He definitely made people squirm.

When I read he’d got a sitcom, my first thought was how in hell they were going to be able to “sanitize” his comedy enough for broadcast TV. He would have been better suited for a cable network.

All in all, I’m surprised it lasted three seasons. Like Married with Children and so many others, Titus would never been green-lit in today’s misandric, PC climate.

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.
