Had a heavy truck make delivery and front wheels turning while stationary near garage on fairly new concrete driveway left several dark black tire marks.
Read somewhere that either liquid laundry soap or citrus cleaner would help remove marks. Tried both with some success but still had noticeable black rubber marks on light grey surface..Happened to have a bottle of alcohol based hand disinfectant in my pocket squirted a few spots with the 63% alcohol solution gel. Used a moderately firm scrub brush with plastic bristles and lightly rubbed in a circular fashion.
Low and behold the black rubber stain dissolved into the hand cleaner which took on a grey and eventually very dark grey appearance as the spot was lifted.
Got the garden hose and rinsed off the area and the black was completely gone. I mean totally gone.Even looking at an angle I can no longer see a trace of those large black tire marks that were really ground in.
The gel lifted and cleaned off the mark but didn’t leave any bleached look which is what I wanted to avoid. The concrete now looks perfect and original as though that large delivery truck had never even been there.
Anonymous42Will it work for the deep carbide stud scrapes made by my snowmobile when it was the only thing on the road during a blizzard! I’m sure there was lots and lots of sparks!
This might work for the piano keys on runway 27L and 27R at London Heathrow airport ….. or just in front or behind if it’s me ?
alcohol is a very powerful cleaner 😛

If this is just flat concrete blocks, I suggest starting with a pressure washer. That is just water. Still dangerous if one is not careful, but no dangerous chemicals. If that does not work, there is acid wash, this is very dangerous, the same type of wash people use to clean pools, once they are emptied of water.
SImple Green often works pretty well.
