    Times Are Getting Tough

    Recently

    1) Lost my source of revenue.
    2) Confirmed: tax specialist worked out the numbers and my tax bill will put me into debt.
    3) The bank keeps calling me more frequently because of mortgage related problems.
    4) I struggle to maintain activities that are healthy: eating well, exercising, socialising.
    5) Lawyer seems to be taking too long to get things moving along.
    6) Insomnia starting to be bothersome

Hang in there brother. Please try not to get on any meds for sleep, mood symptoms. We are here – let’s talk it out.

I haven’t been around much lately so not sure what’s cooking up with most regulars on here. Are you supporting kids too with everything else that’s going on?

That’s exactly what I want to try to avoid; taking meds. I don’t take any meds because I don’t need them and I certainly don’t want to start down that road if I can avoid it. It’s a slippery slope. For now, I’m still managing to eat in a healthy way, and exercise, and socialise too. I’m just finding it harder and harder. It’s been almost six months since I’ve separated and I’m starting to feel the financial effects of the whole divorce process. I’ve applied to have my child support changed because of a change in my revenue, so we’ll see how that goes and by next week I should know what to expect. Thanks for the concern iLearn, I appreciate it. It’s good to know that other MGTOW are keeping an eye out on things happening to other MGTOW.

Remaining cool, calm and collected is not easy in a dire financial situation but it’s what allows one to weather the storm until it passes. I still have a roof over my head. I’m trying to mentally accept going into debt. I’m trying to see it as something that will attach itself to my name, but also something that I’ll be able to handle down the line. From what I can tell, my new journey into debt looks like it will be unpleasant but not impossible to deal with. I’ve told myself to now put effort into putting ‘the breaks’ on the debt. My mission now is to prevent it from spiralling out of control.

That won’t happen brother. That’s women-territory and you are wise to have no such drain on your resources.

It will pass, things come together – perhaps not always in ways we want them to be. But compromises in adult life are part of a rational being’s plans for the big picture.

I agree, they will pass, and another bro said something similar to me: Things will not be the way I wished them to be, but that doesn’t mean things won’t be good. Or something to that effect. I think that, is one of the bigger tests in life. It’s Life’s way of seeing whether you can adapt and deserve to continue.

Learn from this my brother, never have only one source of income. It’s acceptable in your 20’s but you can’t go your whole life relying solely on your job. Especially in this day and age where technology is eliminating millions of jobs on a yearly basis.

Stay strong and keep pounding away. Nothing can break you unless you allow it to. And never get married, not until these f~~~ing laws are changed.

I had some business setbacks and as a result I’m unable to pay about 5-700 a month in credit bills at this time. I was STRESSED about it for months to the point of making me ill but I flipped the NFG switch!!! Torched my credit no doubt but I’ll pay it back in time and clean it up. S~~~ happens and life can suck sometimes. It ain’t life or death however so I’ll not let it bother me!

Flip the switch brother! Flip it…It’s only $$..

    4) I struggle to maintain activities that are healthy: eating well, exercising, socialising.

I wish wish wish i had done this during my divorce. I stopped working out; i was eating like s~~~, and drinking like crazy. It did not do well for me.

When i finally came out the other side my vitamins/bloodwork were a mess. So keep up with the healthy habits. They will serve you well through this tough time, and the rest of your life.

Even if you don’t feel like working out 3x/week, socializing 1x/week, and limiting the junk food – gotta do it man. Just like brushing your teeth.

I agree, it just has to be done. I don’t always attain my weekly goals but I keep giving it a good shot every week. Some weeks I attain all of the healthy goals, so it depends.

And that is all you need to do. Your best and no one else’s. You have the right attitude and will get to the other side successfully.

I hope it gets better for you. Everytime I feel depressed or like s~~~, I think about what my ancestors had to go through WW2. It’s all about perspective. Life is not a bitch, it’s a C~~~! But F~~~ HER RIGHT IN A PUSSY!!!
