Haha I was a little kid when internet first started becoming a thing. When my family first signed up for our AOL dial up connection, my parent’s laid out some ground rules. Mainly…no sharing personal information with anyone online…no telling last names, where we live, what school we go to, no pics…anything! Kinda funny how that rule saved us from ever having any issues due to internet related activity…yet just 20 years later idiots go on there and share their life history and personal information and OMG THE TROLLING!!!1!

Uhh, hate to tell you this buddy, but as someone who helped build the internet from it’s first days emerging out of academia, the internet was never yours to begin with. You obviously don’t understand what the internet is at a fundamental level so I’ll break it down for you:

The internet, or global internetwork, is first and foremost a protocol. There really is no “the internet” other than an agreed upon protocol for communication. Saying that you’re “losing the internet” is like saying you’re losing the alphabet. It’s nonsensical at the most fundamental level. Or to put into terms you may be more likely to understand:
