Here’s the trailer for those who haven’t seen the new movie yet:

I went to see this movie tonight and I have to say, aside from the new Captain America movie, this was one of the best movies I’ve seen this year.

The only gynocentric moments that took place was when Mowgli was interacting with Raksha (one of the female wolves that raised him) and it was kept to a minimum which was great.

The animation for the animals were awesome. They didn’t feel “cartoonish” at all. It actually felt as if the animals could talk naturally.

Bill Murray did a great job with playing Baloo.

I kept expecting Kaa to show up near the end of the movie because he (she?) only had about 3 minutes of screen time. I sort of wished they showed more of him.

Even though Scarlet Johanson played Kaa, I felt that this remake did a great job in portraying him in a live action film. When Mowgli first met Kaa, he was hypnotized at first, but Baloo came in and saved him.

All I have to say about Shere Khan, is that he was an epic villain in this movie.

Oh, and they did sing in the movie, but they did it in such a way where it didn’t feel like a musical. They kept both of the songs really short, and they both were under a minute long.

Overall, I highly recommend this movie for any Jungle Book fans here. Jungle Book was one of my favorite films as a kid and I felt this remake was a really great film.

In fact, this film was filled with a lot of MGTOW characters. Which is rare coming from a Disney film.

I saw it. I liked it. I could never sit through the cartoon version.

I could never sit through the cartoon version.

The only thing I hated about the cartoon version as a kid is that they dragged out the songs way too long.

Otherwise, I loved the cartoon version.

But yeah, this remake was a lot better than the cartoon version. I loved how they did King Lui as well.

A lot of MGTOW(-like) characters in a Disney based remake of an original cartoon by Disney..?
That definitely sounds very hard to believe…

I'd rather die a natual death with a clear MGTOW conscience somewhere off the grid than one within "modern" civilisation with a big stress mark on my forehead and a couple of dozen tubes plugged into my body. Back to the plantation..? Me..? Hey, literally: I won't ever fucking kid myself...YZERLMNTSIC

I saw the movie a month ago right after my latest Best Buy interview and I felt it was good. I did like the animated version a little bit better though. The part I didn’t like was that it was in 3D, and my stomach in some movies might not take the extra dimension very well. I mean I been to movies and felt sick half way through: Twister, Dante’s Peak, House Of The Dead or anything with a lot of movement.

Good thing about my theater is you can have all you can eat popcorn, sodas and Slurpee’s. That day, I had 4 large popcorns (fully loaded with cheese powders) and 6 blue Slurpee’s. All for $15 movie included.

It does and I was very skeptical of the movie at first, but pretty much all the main characters were essentially MGTOW.

The only gynocentric part in the entire movie was when Mowgli left the wolf pack he grew up in and it only last what, about 2 minutes?

But, Mowgli, Bagheera, Shere Khan, Baloo, King Louie, were all MGTOW characters. I can’t think of a single blue piller in the remake.

And the only reason Scarlett Johansson played Kaa is because the director/Disney said there were “too many male characters” in the movie.

But, Baloo won the fight against Kaa and Kaa only had about 3 minutes of screen time. And the only thing that character did was hypnotize Mowgli before Baloo came in.

If you’re still skeptical about the movie, you can always wait until it comes out in Red Box or something.

I don’t like 3D movies that much either, mainly because it’s a stupid gimmick that needs to be stopped. It was interesting for a while, but now, Hollywood is just overdoing it.

The story wasn’t created by Disney. The story is based on the book of short stories by Rudyard Kipling. Disney doesn’t even own the movie rights, as Warner Bros is going to bring out their own version in a couple years.

    Ok. Then do it.

I ain’t going to waste money on a remake when I’ve already seen an animated version. Just another cash grab.

I haven’t read the original book by Rudyard Kipling but I should.

People have told me that Mowgli is far more badass in the original book. He basically proves that humans are the best life forms ever by beating up all the animals.

They should make a movie out of that.

MGTOW: because you can (and should) say anything about a woman as long as she isn't within earshot

That would be nice, but animal activists like PETA would be all over that.

I didn’t like Christopher Walken as King Louis. His voice just didn’t fit the orangutan. I imagined a deeper voice.
