Every time I have owned a property it has finished up keeping me tied to a place I no longer wanted to be. You also tend to fill it full of junk you really do not need, which ends up weighing you down.
Blue pill society conditions people, most men and ALL wimin into believing you have to have these things to be happy. After all an economy based on consuming has to program its people into thinking buying stuff you don’ need is the way to a happy life.
The great Tyler Durden said
” We spend our lives working jobs we hate to buy stuff we don’t need to impress people we do not like”
“Long is the way and hard, that out of Hell leads up to light.”
Never never never buy a f~~~ing condo of any sort.
You have all the responsibilities of both an owner and a renter, yet none of the benefits, and a group of assholes get to make all the rules up.I live in a condo…and its really not bad rule wise. Pretty much the only rules I can think of off the top of my head are no smoking inside, which I’m ok with for safety reasons and because the s~~~ stinks and seeps through the walls…I’m pretty damn glad I don’t have to smell my neighbors cigs. We also have a no satellite dish rule, and you have to have white curtains…but its just so the building doesn’t look like ghetto trash from the outside with random dishes hanging all over it and mismatched curtains…I really could care less about these rules as well…I don’t have tv anyhow so a dish is worthless to me, and I just don’t care if I have white curtains instead of gray ones or flowered ones or something…it really doesn’t matter to me, and I actually kind of appreciate the building looking nice because of these rules.
Other than that its just basic common courtesy like you’d expect in any living arrangement where your neighbors are on the other side of a sheet rock wall. Yeah maybe I can’t blast music at midnight, but I don’t really care, a headset works fine, and on nights I want to go to sleep I’m glad my neighbors not blasting music at midnight. Overall its just a trade off, and watching the noise level in my opinion is a hell of a lot better than having to do lawn work.
I’d just recommend checking into the associations finances before buying the place though…some boards seem to suck dick at managing the place and spend a lot of money on dumb s~~~ and run your home owners fees up. I’m paying 230 a month for mine, which includes heat and water, and my brother lives across town and pays 380 a month with no heat or water included. My building has a lot of older retired people on fixed incomes that don’t mind maintaining the place but vote down all the extra projects people propose, and some of them like to garden for a hobby so we get free landscaping in spring and summer, where as my brothers is full of stupid yuppies that love wasting money on dumb stuff.
@beer, i also own a condo unit…
Unfortunately… my condo management is 100% woman.
Yup…
Finances were great when i bought, now condo fees are almost as high as my mortage payment; still much cheaper than rent, but f~~~ i can not stand the management.
So absolutely incompetent; they can’t even get my unit number right… and they have tried to f~~~ me over with non-exist ant bills at least twice.
Not long ago, they spent $50,000 on a “new” fob system for the parkade… in the name of improved security. Meanwhile, there is a f~~~ing door 1 meter from the entrance. Hello? why not pick the lock? not as if a new fob system would do any good… when a random guy could just sneak in after a car, or pull out a gun or knife to someone at the door.
On top of it they DIDNT EVEN UPGRADE TO RSA Encrypted FOBS, so there was ZERO!!! ABSOLUTELY ZERO!!! Security gains. They could of even used the old fobs, instead they were too f~~~ing stupid to buy $20 RFID usb reader/writer… instead they made a huge f~~~ing fuss and started crying, “what am i supposed to do” when i refused to take a day off of work because they couldn’t even try to slide the f~~~ing card key under my door! not to mention, i overwrote my old cardkey with my new fob rather than paying them $50 for a spare.
Don’t even get me going about how they wasted $150k painting the f~~~ing hallways.
Gawd, women with money, woman with anything, just incompetence.
Anywho, if you run into a condo with female management, stay the f~~~ away!
i know a few people with 10-20+ properties, and my condo is exceptionally bad according to them. i definitely think the first property for anyone should be a condo, as they are much cheaper and in my opinion have a much greater rate of return.
$1 mill house rents out for $3000/mo
$200k apartment rents out for $1500/moso dont get me wrong, condo’s are great, im just so sick and tired of living in one… plus i really miss having a garage / backyard 😛
My Goal: To Leave Society.
