    These thoughts kicked in after watching a movie.
    Movie Spoiler alert: Some of my thoughts on this movie ‘The Big Blue’ (1988) are below.

    I watched the movie and I liked it. Note: It is not your typical Hollywood type movie and it is not an ‘action’ movie – some may find it slow moving. I found the movie quite relaxing. Visually I liked the ocean scenes and the sunny mediteranean. The director Luc Besson (who I dont know much about) has made some entertaining movies and from a MGTOW perspective some of his movies seem to have a focus on unrealistic female action heroes. However ‘The Big Blue’ is one of his earlier ones and seems to have been before all that. Imho the movie seems to reflect male and female more accurately.

    I won’t go into much detail as some may not have seen the movie. Just to say I think there is a red pill scene when the two young women are talking. And I think there is a MGTOW aspect to the main character (and perhaps to his friend Enzo). The main character is a deep sea diver and the water is the one place where he feels like himself. Given what happens at the start of the movie with his Dad when he was a child and what happens later, I can understand his actions at the end of the movie (without recommending those actions).

    ‘Perhaps’ there is a deeper aspect to the movie in which the main character seeks something beyond himself (but yet in himself), or at least something beyond the relationship with his new girlfriend that he does not feel fully a part of and is not fully contented by.

    He seeks peace and happiness and follows his bliss of being in the ocean – more than that he feels blissful contentment there and seeks the (to him) unknown depths of the sea – the unknown beyond the world he does not really feel part of. Perhaps he seeks reconnection with his dead father and his friend Enzo and what is beyond this material plane. In seeking peace, contentment and bliss in our life perhaps we seek/choose our natural state of being. In doing so perhaps some subconsciously seek the highest quality – connection with the divine source of life (and our consciousness).

    MGTOW have realised issues/the lack of contentment in relations with modern day females and without that distraction can perhaps seek or recognise something of a ‘higher quality/satisfaction’ in life – doing whatever it is a man finds bliss or contentment in. Perhaps in:
    – building, creating, designing or maintaining;
    – sports or martial arts; climbing a higher mountain – an incredible ski run or skydive;
    – playing a great song on guitar;
    – creating wealth or having an area of expertise;
    – reading or writing;
    – living a happy simple joyful life;
    – finding peace through meditation, praying or spiritual practices;
    – maintaining your health and cleanliness and that of your house;
    – sharing wisdom or sharing a drink with a good friend;
    the bliss of doing whatever you wish No F~~~s Given (even if its doing absolutely nothing) and thereby honoring your inner peace.

    I was not amazed by the movie but on some level I found the movie peaceful / symbolic / thought provoking as aspects of it correlate to my own life. Peace out.

    Once you make a decision to change an aspect of your life that is not satisfactory, the power of this action allows you to continually rededicate yourself, and your actions, to continue this change.

    While there are few guarantees in life, it is always better to have as much control as possible over the personal aspects of your life.

    Thanks for posting.

    No peace for the damned, no rest for the wicked, I just had to contact the ex c~~~ becouse if some paper work that came out of no where.

    IT NEVER ENDS, NEVER.

    Once you “marry” that parasite put mark on you, is never over, ever, it does not matter if you didn’t have kids, if you divorced, if you get out of the country, some how, some where that thing will find his way.

    My carnage is going berserk right now.

    To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

    I kind of know what you mean. My exGF melted my head over a situation I described previously. I was almost suicidal from multiple stresses. I have to detach from the situation somehow now for my own mental health/wellbeing. I cannot change the situation I can only take care of (work on) myself.

    I wrote down EVERYTHING that she did, just to try to get it out of my brain, and it helped.
    A few years later, I was cleaning out my desk and found “the stack”…….

    It proved to me how calloused I’d become initially, due to getting used to her s~~~ behavior. However, I gotta tell you, that when looking at it from a normalized view, I.e.away from her long enough, my reaction was a truly honest: “What a f~~~ing c~~~!!!!!!”

    Stealing, lying, deceiving, STEALING MY KID’S STUFF,
    ETC, ETC, ETC,
    A f~~~ing STACK.

    One other thing that helped, since I blew it by not taking friends’ advice to file first, was to
    Too later, write down every reason to have divorced: her beyond worthless ass.

    Hope this helps.
    It does get better, ever so slowly, but it does get better.

    Thanks experienced. I did the same – over 100 pages of recollections of the exGfs’ f~~~in c~~~ish and manipulative nonsense poured out of me. For me better to get it out than leave it simmer inside – and to say to hell with the bitch she was a c~~~ and I did no wrong only I made an honest mistake by believing she was something she definitely was not.

    “What a f~~~ing c~~~!!!!!!”

    Yep. I know what you mean.

    My “inner peace” move is “Peaceful Warrior.”

    A gymnast training for Olympic qualifiers gets into a motorcycle crash that breaks his legs. He spends the runtime of the movie going through painful rehabilitation, eating crow, and learning how to be a (roll credits) peaceful warrior.

    The man goes from being a complete hedonistic and worthless sack of s~~~, to being a kind of zen, goal-oriented, functional adult.

    If you read maybe a book or two on Buddhism you will reach the same conclusion as you did with this movie of yours that you watched.

    Contentment is not bad.

    Inner peace is not bad.

    Having goals is not bad just make sure they are realistic.

    Work on your inner happiness because YOUR happiness is YOUR responsibility.

    You have one chance at life, so make the best of it from your human experience, unless you believe in reincarnation, in that case you are just trying to get out of life all together.

    Thanks – good point man in the mountain. I was raised Christian and today I continue to worship the supreme one God. I believe the basic concepts in this ‘not bad’ movie can be interpreted within judeo-christian, vaishnavism/vedic/hindu, buddhist, as well as daoist traditions. In my younger days I became disillusioned with corrupt practices within the church – imho ‘institional’ religion is susceptible to corrupt practices that same as any instition/organisation is. As I have a curious mind and always wanted to know all I could about this world – while remaining Christian I studied all these literatures over years to see what they they were about. As a result of my curious mind I have many books on various spiritual practices/traditions.

    In my younger days I went on a journey of exploration – I lived at a Buddhist Temple for months – for me Buddhism altough it has many good aspects is an insufficent tradition that has limitations/flaws. I also lived as a celibate Monk for months at an Eastern temple worshipping God through the tradition of Vaisnavism.

    For me there is a fundamental similarity between the basic teachings of the Christian tradition and Vaisnavism tradition of the East. Although they may seem different on the surface BOTH traditions hold/teach that the material universe is created and maintained by a supreme monotheistic personal GOD – they are both characterized by the belief that there is only ONE God. My experiences in life thus far concur with that teaching. Peace out.

    Another peaceful/slow moving movie that I saw years ago was ‘Spring Summer Autumn Winter Spring’. The story is about the life of a Buddhist monk as he passes through the seasons of his life, from childhood to old age. I am not a Buddhist but I found the movie peaceful.

    You are open minded and the fact you were disappointed with Christianity is not surprising in the least bit, understand that the church of men is not the church of God, when Christ went looking for God he didn’t go to a temple or house of worship, he instead went to the desert, the same story plays out with Guatama Buddha when he goes to the forest to retreat and attempt to achieve enlightenment to escape this world of perpetual suffering and death.

    Understand that everything men do is expected to be flawed by design, men make mistakes and God or the almighty energy of creation doesn’t, everything was done with a purpose including Death as the end all be all for everything in this world.

    You made your mistake by expecting, don’t expect anything and you will see how life surprises you in strange ways every single day of your life moving forward.

    I am an omnist to be honest, but i still love and respect Christ because i have Christian roots and the fact that he was a man of great compassion to all beings and humans alike emboldens me to be as respectful and compassionate to others as i can.

    In the end one thing is true, we all are going to die, no one is getting out of this alive, even Rockefeller passed away even after having numerous heart transplants done to him, in this realm we call life, everyone dies, everyone suffers and everyone gets sick, so why is it that we take extreme approach and go to insane lengths to make each other suffer?.

    Our goal should be to minimize suffering and Not perpetuate it, i think its a lesson that was handed to us by both the Buddha and Christ. Life will sort itself out when we cross the gates to the unknown (spiritual world).

    Thanks for your thoughts man in the mountain.

    Yes I have felt this since I was a child. One does necessarily have to be in a church or temple to worship God or be amazed by Gods’ work. God is everywhere and in the natural world around us/natures design.

    everything men do is expected to be flawed by design, men make mistakes and God or the almighty energy of creation doesn’t, everything was done with a purpose

    Yes God makes no mistakes and we can learn through ours. People either act in ignorance, or in passion/lust, or in the mode of goodness. All of us are a mixture of all three modes. The mode of goodness can be a stepping stone to progress – charity is not the end goal – acting according to intelligence and ‘awareness’ (including awareness of God) is part of the path. The Bible and the Vedic literatures of the East (for example the Bhagavad Gita) both describe these things in detail.

    You made your mistake by expecting, don’t expect anything and you will see how life surprises you

    Rather than expecting I simply observed what was happening – the religious institution contained some hypocrisy, narcisism (and pedophila which was reported by victims) – and I made my own decisions. Any institutional environment will have some people that are narcisists (and also some good people). But I respect everyone who chooses to be part of a religion too – each of us to his own path.

    I am an omnist to be honest, but i still love and respect Christ because i have Christian roots and the fact that he was a man of great compassion to all beings and humans alike emboldens me to be as respectful and compassionate to others as i can.

    I respect this. Peace out.
