Hmm well going my own way here. I see a human in peril i want to do something. Maybe its societies programming or perhaps its genetics I don’t know. Seems to me its predominantly male trait either way.

If its a human being being wronged possibly to the point of death then I want to step in regardless of gender.

It seems like Target is hell bent on corporate suicide. They are under total boycott by C-Pig and many members of his family too.

One would think that lawyers for Target would inform them how much of a bad idea it would be sue someone whom saved a person’s life in their store, and likely saved Target millions of dollars in a wrongful death suit.

The bad press alone would not be worth it.

The guy will likely counter-sue and have Target for lunch.

That would not surprise me. All the major companies are deep in the red. Those in charge even likely shorted their own stock. Which is illegal. But, what do the super-rich care. They believe that laws are only for the poor people.

Target sucks, I’m glad they got run out of town a year ago. Never liked how the store was slathered in red, or the stupid dog with the bullseye on it either.

As you can see white knighting is one of the many deadly sins, but definitely in the top 10.

Beware “Duty of Care”

A person who witnesses a situation ‘in the street’ where life-saving First Aid might be required is under no obligation to assist. However, if that person does choose voluntarily to intervene to render assistance they will assume a “duty of care” towards the individual concerned. By starting treatment you are accepting responsibility to the care of that person.

I personally know several men who were sued by women when the men stopped to render assistance. If a man is perceived to have deep pockets, he can become a target of predatory females and their attorneys. The “Duty of Care” opens up a can of worms. What if you stopped care before the female was stable and under medical care? You could be sued for negligence and abandonment. What if you performed CPR and cracked a rib? You could be sued for negligence and even assault and battery.
I still help females on occasion. But I NEVER give my name or contact information.
