It seems that at the top of the world, Mount Everest, there is a traffic jam of super-rich 1% whom want to gloat that they have been there.

Note that one has to all but be a member of the super-rich to even be able to afford and have the connections to climb Mount Everest.

This is already causing deaths. The top part of that mountain is deathly on a clear day because it is above the point where a person can normally breath. Also, the weather can change very quickly from clear to dangerous.

From the pictures in the linked article, all I can think is how much total wealth those people have. Should something happen to them, their foolishness could shift economies and international politics.
