With the growing concern over the effects of competition in youth sports programs this summer, many Canadian soccer associations eliminated the concept of keeping score. The Soccer Association of Midlake, Ontario, however, has taken this idea one step further, and have completely removed the ball from all youth soccer games and practices……….feminist bulls~~~!!!!!

I remember it started happening in football during school. Everyone started getting “participation trophies” just for showing the f~~~ up. We are raising a society of pussies, people that are going to get kicked into the real world where they will realize that not everyone’s a winner, that if you work harder than other people, you will get more money. It is stupid. They all “pretend” that one kid starts off with the ball, and everyone has to synchronize their imagination as to where the ball is. When a kid takes a shot at the goal with said imaginary ball, the goalie gets to say whether or not the ball went in.

In addition, any kid who pretends to have their own ball and plays away from the rest of the group is told to stop doing so and rejoin the group.

It’s programming kids to see clothes on the naked emperor. It was a kid who called the emperor’s sham to begin with – now imagine if that kid was just as brainwashed as everyone else…

I think the article was meant as a joke making fun of the no keeping score league. This is the next step though and once you go down the step slide there is no going back.

It is ridiculous though. I remember this “everyone’s a winner” bulls~~~ starting years ago when coaches weren’t allowed to cut anyone from try-outs because feelings got hurt. Coaches also were required to make sure that everyone got playing time and at the end of the year everyone got some kind of an award for being the “best” at something.
