It only cost this guy’s family $340 000 and him the possibility of a military career but he managed to fluke proving he did not attack his ex because his mum took a selfie with him in it at the exact time he was supposed to be cutting his ex with a box cutter.

The problem is the simple but dangerous presumption that “women don’t lie”. This means that unless you are lucky enough to have proof you didn’t do it, you automatically did.

The case went from September last year to June this year. The prosecuting attorney said that the “picture’s existence wasn’t know to police at the time the case was filed. I was in the possession of Mr Precopia and his attorney’s”

This tells me that the family and their attorney informed the prosecuting attorney of their evidence but didn’t move forward on it until after Precopia’s attorney submitted it to the prosecution.

In other words, the prosecutor was too lazy to go and get the information so the defense had to do it. This took time because they don’t have the full weight of the government and the prosecutors office to expedite the matter. It was a good thing that the evidence that would have exonerated him wasn’t on the complainant’s social media or cell phone. It would have never surfaced.

The case ran from September to June and it took that long and 340K to get the prosecution to look at a photo. The photo was on face book for heaven’s sake.

The police never even checked out his alibi that was on face book before referring the case to the courts? Surely that is the first job of the police -to see if they can find a case for the lawyers to prosecute. First thing the accused will say is “I never did it. I was with my mum all the time”. So the next thing the police should have done is check out his alibi. It doesn’t even need a photo. It did use to need photos before women took selfies. The police would have gone and interviewed people who were at the event who could confirm if the accused was there. Its just retarded!

Its retarded because some woman shouts “victim” and the police automatically go into white knight mode and white knight mode overrides any brain function.
