    To Saint Peter he will tell;
    One more Soldier reporting, sir.
I’ve served my time in Hell!”

I’m not much of a pet person and i’m afraid of dogs.
But then again, they’re lovable beings.

I love dogs. They’re more loyal than most people are.

And they can help get you through some pretty tough times.

I’d love to hear more from our vets if any are on our site.

    You guys rock.

    agreed brother stealthy..
our age group were kids watching the vietnam war play out on television..a bit too young to untangle the reporter’s veracity.
it sure didn’t look like something i wanted to do, that’s for sure..
i signed up for selective service when i was 18 like all the males ..
    ( equality ? what’s that again? ).
i work with quite a few veterans and these guys are the best.
i have great respect for them ,
and they look at me and think i’m “smart “..
i’m really not that smart ..just been through lot’s of s~~~.
what we do for our veterans is a shame.
they protect the freedoms we all have and get a raw deal.
i’m a veteran of new york city public school ..gotta count for something..lot’s of fist fights, lot’s.
my nose has been broken 5 times,
i have a piece of bone missing in one leg..god’s truth.
i would say more but i’m unsure about statute of limitations on certain activities…

I work with kids with autism. I have one in particular who has a dog and when I bring up the topic of his dog I always get a smile, other times rarely. There is just something special about dogs. I get the same feeling about my own.
