I’m going to apply to med school this year and I was thinking whether it’d be a good idea if I decided to do go for a master’s in US.

How is the workplace scenario for doctors over there? I’d really like some info. from people who have experience.

Medical Doctors? If it’s an MD you are striking for, and you want to get a job in the US, then it is best to get your MD in this country. Foreign MDs have a tough time getting in the club.

In addition, the profession is in an uproar since Obamacare was implemented.

On the plus side, if you do get admitted to medical school, then some towns will pay your way if you commit to being their resident physician. Ditto the US military.

Edit: I misread the OP. I see from the context that you do want an MD, not just a master’s.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

So like if I complete MD in my country and then apply for residency in the US, its the easier way to go? I don’t quite get it. ‘Cause I’m pretty sure I’ve read Indian MD degrees are of no use in the US. Unless, of course, I succeed in getting fellowship (which is really really hard because of the reasons you mentioned).

It’d really help me if some towns do offer to help in return for a commitment. Could you tell me more about it?
