I’d be willing to bet that his political career isn’t done. The House has done a great job of rigging their districts to the point that it’s almost impossible to defeat an incumbent. And I’m sure that the majority of the people in his district are happy with him for doing exactly what they wanted him to do. 40% of your district can hate you and show up to a meeting to yell at you, but the other 60% will still vote for him again.
