My ex told me, while we separated, that she knew women that would be a good fit for me. One of the many times I could only respond with a blank stare. I have no idea who she was talking about. Really, this was her way of absolving herself of guilt.

If you think about, it is always said as an excuse. If there is someone out there for you specifically, it means you don’t have to do anything. When you find someone and claim they’re the one, when you breakup it isn’t doing your mistakes and bad behavior…they just weren’t the one. When you never find the one, fate was cruel to you…it’s not the fact that you were a selfish slob with nothing to offer who treated men like s~~~. It’s always an excuse.

It took until these past couple years for me to realize that there is no “special someone” out there for me.

That’s not reality.

My reality and realization is that we are all utilities for each other. Men have sex drive and want to drill. Women want to have children. We try to manipulate each other to get what we want. Take away those two things and we wouldn’t have much to do with each other. After impregnation, some feel an emotional connection (chemical) and stay with the mate, some don’t. The ones that do may have a higher offspring survival success rate. Of course that doesn’t really matter in modern society as big government will fund their survival.

That’s life in a nut shell. There is no higher purpose and no real reason for us to exist except to keep our race alive.

The myth of there being “someone” for each of us is a brilliant con job. Where did that line come from? The ethos of our collective subconscious? A subconscious attempt to keep us breeding?

The connotation of “someone for me” conjures up the idea of a woman who is ready to be my friend, lover, advocate, etc.

That sounds magical. It sounds romantic. It sounds perfect…

That’s the problem. Nothing is perfect. This situation can’t actually exist. It was never meant to exist. It is an idea that was somehow/somewhere conjured up in someone’s mind or our collective minds. It was never intended to be reality. It is a successful trick that keeps men and women on pace to seek each other out for a magical fantasy that can’t exist and, hopefully along the way, the survival of the human race is ensured.
