The wage gap is mostly a myth. When someone is paid 25% less, they are more likely to be hired. Proof in this is “age discrimination” which is really about not wanting to pay high wages, so they hire noobs instead. As usual, the meat holes have it backwards.

In fact, women are paid MORE than men in their 20s, but the gap closes as they hit their 30s since women start dropping out of the workforce to have kids, thus giving up the possibility of promotions and higher paid positions based on experience.

Indeed. At my workplace they literally walk around gossiping and doing NOTHING. The white knight men are afraid to say anything to them about it, because the company has a corporate policy to hire as many women as men, and HR has a stranglehold on the entire company.

I really think this system is going to have to collapse. When it does, things are going to get ugly i think, but it’s going to have to happen within the next 20-30 years most likely.

What a pity there is no real gender wage gap. There jolly well should be. If they can’t work as hard, for as long, for as many years, then there should be a big fat wage gap. The idea that one cannot discriminate on grounds of sex in hiring a person was a shocking injustice foisted on the employers of the world. The idea that one should then pay them as much for less commitment and less work is just bonkers.

Its a mad world we live in gentleman and the most maddening thing is that only a few of us are sane enough to see it.
