I was never for a wall, too much money for too many fails. I would rather two rows of electrified razor wire with sensors and a minefield between them. The razor wire and mines would also go underground to an unspecified depth. If anything is tampered with, a few well armed Apache choppers would be ready to go along the border. This would also stop unauthorized aircraft from crossing as they would be warned, then taken out when one got near the border. Once the first illegal tried to cross, few others would make an attempt so it would save lives compared to what we have had. Of course, there would be a few gates where one may cross legally and they would be welcomed.

Want US Citizenship? Have something to offer the US instead of sucking out our future. Don’t have much? Enlist in the US military and learn to speak English or don’t try at all. I was a cook in the US Navy/USNR for 12 years and learned many cultural foods. I want to learn what you can cook and you can learn from me but we have to be able to understand each other. If you wish to be a US Citizen, do it right, learn the language so we can be friends.

No hablo espanol muy bien no deberia necesitar tradducion en Estados Unidos, hablamos ingles.

None of the libtards against the wall ever complain about Mexico’s walled off southern border to keep out illegals from central america. Mexico is America to those folks.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

The best way the West has is to just make it harder for immigrants in general. Must be able to speak and write English, no welfare for 5 years minimum, any infraction at all, you get booted and so on.

Make it hard enough and less will want to come.

I know about that. Yet Mexico thinks it would be inhumane for the USA to do the same. There is a word for it that the hispanics call hipocresia. Sorry Mexico but Texas joined the USA and we won the war against Mexico. We marched into Mexico City but did not take your nation though many in Mexico wishes we had. The Mexicans and descendants that stayed here are now US citizens and none of them wish to be Mexican citizens.

Not to mention if we stop immigration completely we’ll still have an abundant amount of resources most countries can’t even dream of. I always find it hilarious other countries, especially more liberal countries, call Americans “racist” and “stoopid” but always want to come here to do business with us and leech off of us.

If America’s so bad why do you want to come here in the first place? Doesn’t make sense.

I used to have some libtard friends who would p~~~ and whine about the wall… as if they leave their doors unlocked at night.

As far as I’m concerned, anyone can come to my front door, ring my doorbell, announce themselves and state their business. If I’m interested… particularly if they’re bringing some booze for me… I’ll let them in for a visit. If they’re cool and provide some value, I’ll let them stick around.

But let me catch them sneaking through my back door at night and going through my fridge and they’re going to get a shotgun blast to the face… I don’t give a s~~~ who they are.

That is how I view American immigration policy. Illegal aliens are not “immigrants”, they’re foreign invaders.

What took away my sympathy was when they burned the US flag and waved the flag of Mexico in the USA during the last election. They claimed the southwestern states as part of Mexico. This made Marvin Martian “VERY ANGRY INDEED!” I now see it as a slow invasion. Yet if The Peoples Republic of Commiefornia wishes to leave the USA as they threatened to do, part of me welcomes it. My only sympathy goes to those north of Sacramento and the few patriots living further south.

I’m with you times ten. A home invader would do best when I am working. He/she would only face a very secure home, a house alarm that calls the police and a dog. If I am home, they would face a Glock 19 plus many magazines, a pump shotgun and more. Not even a gang would want to face me and I would be difficult for a SWAT team as well. I am not bad by any means and do not wish to harm but the bad do not want to mess with me. If I was forced to defend my home, God help them because I won’t…

I like the idea of a fence. Spain has a double fence with razor wire, but nobody calls them racist or xenophobic. I’d also enlist the National Guard in each state to guard the border. I’d offer them FULL TIME JOBS doing that with college grants. Since we have a problem with unemployment in the USA, we could also pay homeless people as lookout scouts along the borders. If they catch anyone sneaking across, give them $5 so they can get some cheap beer and a hamburger.

I agree with President Trump. If we’re going to have an immigration policy, let’s try to get the best and brightest people from around the world to CONTRIBUTE SOMETHING POSITIVE to this nation instead of getting on welfare or engaging in truck terrorism. I’d rather have someone like Elon Musk or Jack Ma getting citizenship than some jackass whose only goals are to get his girlfriend pregnant and steal stuff.

And for those that make the argument that we won’t have anyone to pick lettuce, wash dishes, or mow lawns for $5 an hour, perhaps its time for the employers to offer a decent wage to entice American workers! Yes, I will spend an extra dollar on a Big Mac if it means there will be less income taxes used for welfare/healthcare/education for children of illegal aliens.

    The Peoples Republic of Commiefornia

The rich folks here would regret a secession if their property taxes go way up. If the ultra-liberals raise it to 10%, a homeowner with a $1,000,000 house will pay $100,000 a year to keep it.

California already has millions of needy people—just imagine if the southern border was WIDE OPEN for any impoverished soul to come here and sign up for welfare. Not just Mexicans, but anyone who can save up enough money to get a travel visa and a flight to Mexico.

I was never for the wall in the first place. Ask the Russians what it was like trying to keep the East Berlin-er’s in.

I AM however, in favor of the Burning River of Gas. For starters, most people won’t dare try to cross that s~~~, and two, it makes a great tourist attraction. Anyone who actually does try to cross, tourists can take bets on if the guy/gal makes it or not. If they get across, they get full citizenship. If they don’t, well, they get thrown back over to Mexico.

I actually like this idea Sparky. Especially the land mines. I think we should go a step further also to further give these things incentive not to come here.

We have this Homeland Security department that as near as I can tell doesn’t do a damn thing that it was advertised as being when it was formed. This agency should go around the country and trawl across the land rounding up all of these illegal migrants/subversives/trash/(insert whatever is applicable) and ship them back in cargo containers and dump them South of the border.

If our neighbor refuses to take them back, we bomb them back into the Stone Age and still dump them back across the border. We could also withdraw from the nuclear test ban treaty and have a semi-constant testing ring along the border to further discourage any crossings that the fences and minefields wouldn’t alleviate. Nothing larger than tactical size nukes as we wouldn’t want too much constant fallout spreading East and North.

If the nuke idea is too much for some people, fine, let’s put a few army divisions along the border. Something! Create a massive new practice bombing range for the Air Force. Our boys need constant training to be war ready, let’s help them out.

These MS-13 gangbangers and the lot came here for a dream well let’s give them one. A bad one! If they want to come here legally and go thru the process to do so, that is fine with me. It’s what all of our ancestors had to do but now doing that is just, ahem, too much work. Puuhhhhlease.

I view this as a pseudo invasion and it needs to be stopped before it gets worse. They want to reclaim the whole of the Southwest part of the country as theirs and that cannot be allowed to happen.

With California becoming a sanctuary state it just doubled the length of the wall! Throw in New York and the wall triples in size and scope!

Why not become 50 tiny little countries all having their own rules while reaping the rewards and failures to each its own?

I’d be f~~~ed, but then again I’m f~~~ed anyway! Every way! Each and every day!

I’m in favor of a wall, and I’ve always thought of it as more symbolic than effective. It sends a message to those that want to migrate illegally that they are not welcome, and it will not turn out well for you. We already know that the election of Trump has caused illegal immigration to slow as people feel that it’s not that safe of an option.

I do not want the wall, or whatever form it takes to be lethal or prone to injure anyone who attempts to cross. It’s too easy for the left the claim it’s inhumane and have it removed. At the same time, I don’t want the wall to require a maintenance cost or large staff to maintain. Besides the tax payer cost, it makes it easier for liberals to stop funding and kill it.

The reality is that a wall alone won’t kill illegal immigration. We need to make it a crime to hire or harbor illegal immigrants in any way. Well, it already is I believe, since you cannot hire or harbor a known criminal.

I also firmly believe this is an issue that liberal powers do not want to solve. It is an effective tool in stirring up the mob and dividing the people against each other. The result being that mob choses to keep liberals in power for emotional reasons, not logical. If you fix the problem, the tool is gone.

    Ok. Then do it.
