The ultimate Ghost place: The Log House!

I always dreamed in living in one of these. I thought that after my retirement, my house would be like this, but f~~~ it, why should I wait that long for something I could achieve in the next ten years at max?

Oh, wait… Now I remeber… It was because I WAS supposed to drag a woman’s ass along with me into a life-long journey, and to raise my kid the best I can.

The great thing is, now I have none. No wife and no kid.

Pre-built and delivered to my site. Current budget has the land purchase occurring in Nov 2017 (in northeastern Pennsylvania). The number of acres isn’t as important to me as the land itself. I want a year round stream capable of supporting pico-hydroelectric generation. And a view of the mountains. Those are really my only two requirements. Selling my current house in spring of 2018 and having the cabin delivered that fall once the basement and other underground structure (ahem) are in place.

I know some folks want the experience of building their own log cabin from scratch but I’m looking with an eye towards retirement. Hence the ranch floorplan (no stairs when mah knees go out).
