Introspective. From what I’ve heard, it’s more about group-think and following the word of “mentor” figures. These guys don’t want to look at themselves, they want brothers and fathers.

Black. Well that makes it clear this is an exclusionary group. If it’s exclusionary by culture, then you can’t question or change the culture without destroying it and if it’s just exclusionary by race then you can’t utilize good ideas or contributions unless the person’s skin is black.

Reform. What are you reforming? Yourselves? Your culture? Other people? And how do you know when you’re done reforming… or is it meant to be constant reform? And when you’re done, what then? Introspective Black Men Of Maintaining The Status Quo?

What it sounds like is a bunch of desperate guys clinging together to beat their chests, artificially prop up other others egos and blame white people for their problems.

Real IBMOR, in my opinion would be talking about the following:

1) Black Men must repudiate our victim status and take responsibility for our outcomes, regardless of what has happened in the past.

2) Black Men must voluntarily give up criminal activities as a way of getting ahead or lashing out at mainstream culture and commit ourselves to working within the system to improve the quality of our lives and our communities.

3) Black Men must protect ourselves against predatory females and unwanted reproduction in order to break the cycle of dependence on public assistance and fatherlessness in the Black Community.

If they put that on their manifesto, I’ll start listening.
