    Such a good post, Morlock.

We all know the exact man you talk about.

When I was young, my dad would take me to a working man’s club in Norwich, Norfolk. The silent men would often sit at the bar, read the paper and smoke – Hands worn from hard graft.

These are hardened, life experienced men who have nothing or little to say to anyone.

They’re MGTOW – they adapted to their environment and learned not to respond or engage because nothing good ever came of it.

That’s what I am talking about! The more you try and engage with people the more angst and conflict you will encounter.

When I was a young man, I used to wonder why some middle-aged men were stern and grumpy. Now I’m in my late 40s and I’ve been consistently stern and grumpy for the past 3 years. I feel like a caged lion yearning to run across the grasslands.

"I saw that there comes a point, in the defeat of any man of virtue, when his own consent is needed for evil to win-and that no manner of injury done to him by others can succeed if he chooses to withhold his consent. I saw that I could put an end to your outrages by pronouncing a single word in my mind. I pronounced it. The word was ‘No.’" (Atlas Shrugged)
