I meant to post this yesterday and forgot – anyway, I don’t subscribe to any version of the Wall Street Journal and so can’t read the source article but here’s a Breitbart article about it – this is MGTOW catnip for me! Selected excerpts below … I think I’ll pour some nice tequila and toast the decline tonight 🙂

    http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2015/02/23/the-second-demographic-transition-the-end-of-humanity-as-weve-known-it/

Economist Nicholas Eberstadt lays out a bleak future in an important essay just published in The Wall Street Journal. Eberstadt makes the case that selfishness (really? f~~~ you, St. Nick), as evidenced by the unwillingness of people to get married in the first place and stay married in the second, is setting humanity on an unknown and potentially dangerous course.

Eberstadt describes a global flight from family. “All around the world today, pre-existing family patterns are being upended by a revolutionary new force: the seemingly unstoppable quest for convenience by adults demanding ever-greater autonomy,” he writes.

“Thanks to this revolution, it is perhaps easier than ever before to free oneself from the burdens that would otherwise be imposed by spouses, children, relatives or significant others with whom one shares a hearth,” he continues.

What may shock many is the exploding number of men and women who are simply not interested in marriage–ever. Eberstadt cites data from Belgium where “the likelihood of a first marriage for a woman of reproductive age is now down to 40%, and the likelihood of divorce is over 50%.”

And this is not just a Western phenomenon. Asia is following suit. One-sixth of Japanese women in their 40s are still single, and “30% of all women are childless.” The same trends are happening in South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Lest anyone think the world is about to be overtaken by a wash of Muslim births, not only is the Muslim birth rate plummeting all over the Middle East, Muslims are also walking away from marriage. Eberstadt cites UN data that show that “the proportion of never-married women in their late 30s was higher in Morocco in 2004 than in the U.S. in 2009 (17% vs. 16%). And nearly 32% of Libyan women in their late 30s were unmarried in 2006.”

This raises an important potential issue. Once governments realize what is happening: it will not be long before income tax code/laws are changed and altered so that any man determined to be ‘single’ (after the age of 30, without any children or child support obligations) has to pay an additional tax annually to make up for the fact that none of his income is being used and/or ordered by a court to provide for dependents. It would more than likely be a percentage of gross income. And the consequences of not paying it would result in the same types of penalties, interest and collection tactics employed by the IRS for other taxes. Basically taxing a guy for either 01: not having sex, 02: using birth control effectively, 03: having a vasectomy and/or 04: not being dumb enough to get a bitch pregnant and subjugate his financial independence to her and/or a court system.

The above scenario is very possible.

There is no question that the Washington regime will be stealing more in order to buy off certain segments of the population, if anything out of fear of the consequences of under-delivering after over-promising.

This will lead to a larger grey market, and thus greater corruption among low-level apparatchiki, both of which will be to the benefit of MGTOW.

@sky-o: We’re all so f~~~ed if you’re right.  You are not crazy either.  CPig is a very, very sly fox, and that’s all I will say.

@MG-Tower: Mangina syndrome could possibly be a prion transmitted disease a la Mad Cow.  Heat does not render prions harmless. I highly recommend that you do not consume mangina flesh.  I’m going to eat fried American C~~~ Roaches or as we call then here Palmetto Bugs

Would be a great place to live in solitude, the military sold them for a dollar when they disposed of the Atlas and Titan I sites, unfortunately the cost of the land they are on and the amount of renovations and repairs required after being abandoned for 50 years is out of the reach of everyone except the rich. I still dream of the idea anyways.

Great minds think alike.  I’ve long been fascinated with that aspect of the nuclear arms race.  I wouldn’t mind living in one of those myself.  There’s a reason why I like the opening scene of the movie WarGames.

Thank you for that article GoneGalt, I have been considering the possibility that this is all based on an effort to socially engineer a solution to an overpopulation problem.  Doesn’t it make sense to break up families, and make having children less desirable, in order to make society itself want to reduce the population?  If this is the case, which although I can’t prove, there seems to be anecdotal evidence to back this theory up, then it’s possible that there is a divide and conquer strategy at play to enslave the masses.  Back to conspiracy theory 101, I know it’s unorthodox, so I’m heading out to get a good supply of tin foil hats.

When the war cemeteries are half full of the corpses of dead conscripted women, only then will women have earned the right to speak of equality. Sidecar “A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.” - Bob Dylan

    I say, let it burn.

The conclave of blood sucking vermin in our  government and legal system made it their business to destroy the family unit.

I’d rather grab the popcorn and sit on the sidelines as the parasites and leeches kill themselves searching for a new host.

@ ZuberaTau, that’s true, you’re right, the way I write I always seem to insinuate that we should get up and do something to save society, I’ve got to make it clearer when I write that, in NO WAY am I suggesting to save this misandrist society.

I’m just thinking about the powers that control things and pull the levers, I just want to be ahead of the game and be prepared for the s~~~-storm, perhaps a little hope that things will change and the pendulum will swing back in our favor once society is totally f~~~ed, otherwise I want to be prepared and live well even if there is an apocalypse.

There is a lot of interest in going off grid, becoming self sufficient, and ghosting.  There’s got to be a reason, people seem to be preparing for a harsh future scenario.  I don’t want to be alarmist, but there is nothing wrong with becoming self sufficient, and being able to protect and  provide for ourselves.

I would question whether such a future scenario is one in which one would wish to (literally) live.

    @sky-o,

There are plenty of historical precedents for a “bachelor tax” of some sort. The Emperor Augustus instituted one. So did some of the early New England colonies. They’re going to get the money out of us somehow.

For my part, paying taxes sounds a lot less painful than sticking my tender parts into the financial meat grinder of the divorce industry. Frankly, I’d prefer a third alternative: Being left alone.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

Yeah there was a talk about some feminist pushing for that which I saw in passing on Google. Actually using the term “white male privilege tax” or some s~~~. the projected EARLIEST possible date would be 15+ years down the road. There will be 100 million MGTOW by then. F~~~ing count on it. All of them sitting on a beach – with blue water as far as the eye can see – somewhere else.. earning 20%.

Meet you all in Bora Bora. The feminists can lick toilet seats as far as I care.

The only way they could institute a man tax is if they instituted a childless single female tax.  With single females now earning more than single men due to the hostile environment in colleges and the workplace created by our best and brightest minds, women and their Todies , they have more to make from the women’s taxes.

Do you really think that our government, now a society within our society, would ever give up on a lucrative source of revenue like the income of single women?   Then you don’t know much about working in a government agency. Government agencies are designed with good intentions but, by their nature, if they don’t grow you can’t have more pay, more supervisor jobs, more money for your department.  This becomes the true goal of all government agencies, their own survival and growth irregardless of their mission statement.

Thats one of the main reasons I went my own way.  Let female cubical slaves push paper and pay a percentage of their money to support their more lazy sisters with their ever growing brood and ever widening asses.

Leave the working women with the children.  Let them have the traditional job of working their lives away for a society that doesn’t care about them other than as wage slaves for children that despise them for leaving them to raised by the least competent females in our society.  So their sisters who partied in HS, didn’t go to college and pushed one out while partying, who gets to stay home and raise her children in a somewhat loving environment and at night still goes out partying with our feminist sisters hard earned cash.

You can already see the future of the liberal/progressive culture.  Listen to DeBlasio, mayor of our flagship city, NY.  He got overwhelmingly elected on a platform of “all children in day care as early as possible”.  Progressives want this so the women too stupid to avoid the game, a game she didn’t know was rigged until she was 35 and past her due date, and pay the taxes to give to the other half of women who want to be supported, because the never bother getting married these days, in the style they demand to become accustomed to.

So we should encourage women work, we should demand tax equality and we should go our own way and try to get a job off the books.

    Taxes are for pussies, literally.

I suppose you could always buy space in a bunker below, I looked this company up because they were building the largest underground shelter in the world out in Kansas but then abandoned that project:

    http://www.terravivos.com/

The problem with surviving individually out in the boonies in the event of a monumental societal collapse are numerous: potable water, reliable heat, food, protection from raiders, illness, accidents without anyone to help you, etc. To me this means the only decent chance at long-term survival would be to join with like-minded people who have in combination all the skills necessary to survive, but even if you do it is still no guarantee. Dried foods will run out, drought and insects and disease could devastate your crops, a larger more well-armed group could overwhelm you, medicines will lose their potency and leave you unprotected against most diseases, lifetimes would correspondingly decrease and your day-to-day concerns would be focused solely on survival with little time for enjoyment of life.

This assumes such a collapse would occur only because of societal failure and not a catastrophe involving the Yellowstone caldera exploding, a meteor hit, nuclear war, etc, in which case it would be a lot worse. I couldn’t guess at the timeframe where you’d be facing such a scenario, it might happen years after the initial collapse, but let’s assume eventually you would – in that case, if for example the U.S. was in such a condition my basic assumption is that it would be invaded by someone, most likely China, and re-education camps and mass slaughter would ensue.

Here’s what I think would happen if MG-Tower’s bunker scenario comes to pass – whoever will invade the U.S. will explode nuclear missiles to cover the entire geographic area of the U.S. to create EMPs (electromagnetic pulses) which would decimate the electrical infrastructure in the U.S. Rather than bore everyone with the details of the horrors that would happen to the population, I highly recommend this fictional book (but based on facts) by an expert on the subject who has testified to Congress about it – chilling reading, and you should be able to get it free from your local library:

One Second After” – William R. Forstchen

New York Times best selling author William R. Forstchen now brings us a story which can be all too terrifyingly real…a story in which one man struggles to save his family and his small North Carolina town after America loses a war, in one second, a war that will send America back to the Dark Ages…A war based upon a weapon, an Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP). A weapon that may already be in the hands of our enemies. Months before publication, One Second After has already been cited on the floor of Congress as a book all Americans should read, a book already being discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a truly realistic look at a weapon and its awesome power to destroy the entire United States, literally within one second. It is a weapon that the Wall Street Journal warns could shatter America. In the tradition of On the Beach, Fail Safe and Testament, this book, set in a typical American town, is a dire warning of what might be our future…and our end.

    ———————————————————–

Life in such a situation is completely unappealing to me. I have a brother who must regularly take drugs and without them would lose contact with reality. For example, the book above details what happens to diabetics across the country when the refrigeration is gone and the insulin becomes useless (hint – it’s not pretty). I don’t want to spoil the book, but I personally can’t imagine society collapsing here with no one invading us – it could get really bad, say like in Venezuela, but Venezuela is not a prime target like the U.S. is for its vast resources. In that case you’d still have access to resources but it would be a lot harder – in that event what I said earlier about forming groups in the boonies would be possible since society is not completely gone, and that I would consider.

Pick up a tin foil hat for me while you are out.  I have a very similar theory.   Looking at the evidence over the years, it is becoming less “theory” and more “real”.  However, evidence is subject to interpretation and I may be biased.
