I skimmed this paper without reading in depth, until the last paragraph on page 28-9. It says, in effect, women have gotten everything they have demanded from the material world and are less happy than before.

I have seen this in too many of the women who have crossed my path. The more they are appeased, the less satisfied they become — and the more they blame the world for not making them happy.

I decided I can’t do a thing for them, except to keep out of their reach. I decided to go my own way.

My opinion is the 1 man 1 female model came about and lasted not because of some non existant patriarchy, rather because it worked and worked better than any other system. I met my ex wife when I was 24 so I missed out on being single in my 20’s and 30’s. Now that we are divorced at 42 I realise just how much I actually missed out on.

For me, the absolute key to male happiness is freedom and to be financially secure. Getting married takes both of these things away from you so it is no wonder that all married men are unhappy.

Because I didn’t get a chance to experience these things I didn’t even appreciate just what I was missing out on. Now that I am gaining more of both each day I can totally understand why men do not want to get married anymore.

If I had never got married I would have had a house fully paid for, money in the bank and would have just been entering my prime at the age of 35. If I was in that situation I would have had to be absolutely mental to want to give it up for some slut who had spent the last 15 years on the c~~~ carousel.

The more I realise just how great being free feels it p~~~es me off that I wasted the best years of my life with some moaning old bitch.

I think it is called the hedonic treadmill. The more you get, the less happy each new thing gives you.
