The “Retail Apocalypse” Is Officially Descending Upon America
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-03-23/retail-apocalypse-officially-descending-upon-america
Anonymous3Don’t take anything off zerohedge seriously. It’s all doomer porn. Those guys must be broke ten thousand times over always trying to short the market, and getting blown off. It’s permabear stuff.
The retail numbers aren’t really down much, if at all. Online makes up for a lot of it, but even if it did not, there’s no real drop until you start seeing massive closures and ghost malls all over America. Truthfully, the vast majority of stuff sold is completely junk. There’s no need for so much of it to exist. If people have stopped buying junk that’s not a negative.
Online shopping is the future. Malls are increasingly a thing of the past and I never really liked going to the mall anyways.

Actually, I have found much of what is posted on zerohedge to be more accurate that what passes for the press in this nation.
Here in Germany whole streets of retailers are in fact becoming ghost towns. And the shops are then reused for whatever purpose with the rental prices in a free fall as well.
Online markets have killed off all smaller local retailers and only the biggest chains survived. Still alive are also the specialized dealers that have found their own niche market – like I did.
But, since 2005 I watched restaurants close down one by one… And I put the blame mostly on the energy costs. People have to fill their heating oil tanks and at 1 Euro per liter, even the good earners will start to feel the impact. And the cost of electricity has also doubled since then… And everything else got more expensive… But average people don’t earn that much more then they used to. And so they start to save where they can without going hungry or freezing: And that is “fun things” or buying things they don’t need.
And of course: We have the MGTOW factor. House prices are falling too. Men are no longer capable of buying their little snowflake the dream house she thinks she deserves.
Ask any German man on the street… He will tell you that even women “working as supermarket cashiers” (quote from MGTOW Germany website) want to live like a queen if they ever get married. And she wants you to buy her the dream mansion on the hill…
“And who can afford that? They (women) can slide down my back” – German expression for total indifference.
In July of 2018, this honey pot forum was sold out to an unidentified NPC sock puppet and troll organization. Most independent thinkers and writers migrated to other MGTOW forums as a result of the never-ending infighting and deliberate trouble starting caused by members who were given "carte blanche" by the admin to do whatever they want. Before my departure, I only left a few thousand cat pics here to comfort and ridicule the feminist owners who now run this place. Their background agenda is to make MGTOW look like a club of losers the public eye. And during the course of 2019, they actually managed to destroy almost all other MGTOW venues as well. Here is the truth about "theindependentman.org" aka "TIM" which was created as an extended workbench to further divide the community. When you register, they install a spyware Zombie cookie on your browser that does all kinds of things the user does not know of: http://www.filedropper.com/essay-on-the-removal-of-malware-cookies-used-by-tim

good point phoenix, counter-balances some of the content i read on the web regularly also.
Anonymous0They did it to themselves. Almost every time I drive to a store looking for something, it’s not there. It’s so much easier to get exactly what I want on Amazon and it comes to my door in a couple of days, usually with free shipping. If the stores would keep everything stocked up, I might go there and buy something.
The c~~~s are broke, and they cant find men to bail them out.
Shit Tested, Cunt Approved.
Anonymous3In my small island a number of small business are closing.
The way I see it it results from increasing costs, lower profit margins and lower efficiency.
The economy has being working on a spiral of “economy of scale”. This means that if you produce a larger volume of something, it gets cheaper.
However there is a limit.
To get things cheaper you have a lower profit margin. It makes smaller productions unprofitable.
You also need to automate production, therefore reducing personnel expenses. Then you get an overhead if workers are willing to work for peanuts. Hence the offshore of production.
What do people in developed countries for a living?
They are mostly in the services economy. They sell the cheap stuff at high prices. That is what has being happening in the last 2 or 3 decades. The west is playing with money, that is trickling out of the majority into the hands of a few and to the producers of the world.
So, people have no money. They have no jobs, just pretend to work and pretend to get payed. Efficiency is appalling, but it doesn’t matter because nothing of consequence is really produced.
But consequently small business are ruined, because of expensive, entitled, and unproductive workers. The end of civilizations is blamed on a lot of things, but it is all a consequence of productivity being lower than consumption.
Or saying it on another way: the end is near when the entitled masses demand everything and are good for nothing.
I haven’t been in a shopping mall in 20 years or more. Always hated crowds and now do all of my clothes buying on-line. I’m a minimalist anyway, so I don’t buy s~~~ I don’t need. My wages have been flat for all practical purposes since the time “President O-Blow-Me” was elected. With the costs of everything around me rising, I have cut out a lot of unnecessary s~~~.
For instance, I make my single cup of coffee at my desk each morning. Never buy Starbucks. I brown bag my lunch for work every single day. There is only one electric light on in my house at any one time and that’s in the room I happen to be working or relaxing in. Eating out at a restaurant is reserved only for infrequent special occasions like when a buddy comes into town on business or vacation.
My faithful beagle dog eats dry dog food not expensive canned s~~~ and I’m convinced that the dry is much healthier for him. Rarely go out drinking in bars, as I’m not stalking pussy anymore. If I drive somewhere it has to be in order to accomplish multiple objectives, otherwise I won’t start the car. I just do without the gallon of milk, six pack of beer, carton of eggs or whatever the hell it is that I’ve run out of.
I suspect that I’m representative of some significant portion of the U.S. population, so I’m not surprised that the economy and retail sales in particular are way down. I’ve been living this way for 10 years. I have to in order to save any significant money at all for retirement.
Anonymous0One retail dealer that I know of that has it right is my Stihl dealer. You can’t buy s~~~ for a Stihl online, unless it’s cheap chinese made parts. But, the dealer (at least my local dealer) has enough sense to not try and f~~~ you in the ass on the parts. Almost everything I buy is for a reasonably good price and is either readily available or they actually call me in a couple of days when the parts come in. Now their labor charge is a whole different thing. I’m just talking about getting the parts and replacing them myself.
Asceticmonk-
I’m not an economist, but you may be right.
Where I live, a lot of retail stores are closing.
I saw Sears issued a statement 1-2 days ago regarding their long-term viability.I may lose my shirt, but I have been investing in gold/silver lately.
Truthfully, the vast majority of stuff sold is completely junk. There’s no need for so much of it to exist. If people have stopped buying junk that’s not a negative.
Now that I make all of my buying decisions myself – I buy almost nothing. Birdseed – I’ve been buying birdseed. Nice to watch all the different birds get themselves all stupid happy.
It really doesn’t take much.
I saw Sears issued a statement 1-2 days ago regarding their long-term viability.
Sears Canada is a total lost cause. Their product support is non-existent. Their phone reps can’t even speak English and when I talk to someone for help face-to-face all I ever hear is “Oh, that’s only available in the States”…
Blame me for the tanking of the retail economy, hahaha!! I buy practically nothing, just food, and pay my bills (rent, internet etc.). Well, I upgrade my computer every 3 years or so for gaming, so the electronics retailers aren’t shutting down, yet. The rest goes into my retirement-fund.

Anonymous5Awwwww “booo -hoooooo” all the “special-interest” store locations are closing! You know what? Let them. Let the poor fester the streets. Let chaos happen. I don’t want it to happen. But clearly it MUST happen.
– to mention i have been at a place that closed down. I lost my job etc.. I found a job in less than 4 days. I was told I was the frist person to wear a suit to the interview/ have references preped and be polite. Now I have her job (past job 2011 – funny it was pre mgtow). Not because she was woman. BECAUSE SHE WAS S~~~!!!!! GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEADS LADIES- SOME PEOPLE ARE “BAD EMPLOYEES” – SIMPLE!.
Of course they freak out and call doom. We are only consumers/cattle to our masters and if we don’t spend money the Ponzi scheme grinds to an abrupt halt. I say let it burn!
Be professional be polite but always have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

They should have thought of the fact that 70% of the economy is consumer spending when they were busy bailing out banks, making up a healthcare law to further tax and steal from the general public, refusing to provide secure, high paying jobs, and burying an entire generation (or is it two now) under heavy student loan debt.
Oh wait, I’m sure they did. Because they’re not morons. They did this all intentionally, and now we wait to see what happens next.
Over half of births in America are now Medicaid births. Medicaid is for people completely broke. Obviously they didn’t stop having sex and they can’t be bothered to use birth control, so whatever I guess.
Those kids won’t have a shot at life, but I’ll likely be dead before this all comes to a head. In 20 years or so, there are going to be a lot of angry young people with no opportunity who will be looking for someone to blame.
So retailers might get some revenge after all:
Here is the disgusting JC Penney commercial that should make every man on this earth no longer give them one tiny cent for the rest of his life:
That is how far society has come and to me it is strange to see that it took so long for MGTOW to evolve…
These man hating and man-shaming bastards don’t deserve any sales revenue from male customers!
Let them burn and show their tasteless advertising to the broke single c~~~s. The ones that still dream about their Mr. Right…
Hell – which Mr. Right, even if he IS Mr. Right will not turn his back and think critical about having any dealings with women after seeing this commercial ???
All men are walking away, rich and poor… smart and dumb, strong and weak, healthy and sick. It just doesn’t matter. Soon all women will be alone.
Because women ARE Like what you see in this commercial. And the Manginas and White Knights are also like that.
That is the end. A c~~~ ordering me around: “Get in there” would get her ass kicked. No doghouse… I would put her in there and gasoline with it.

Women loved to spend their mans hard earned money at all these retails stores, malls, outlets etc. Then the men either couldn’t afford to hand over their wallet because the job market for most young men is an outhouse in the hot sun, or they went MGTOW. I don’t mind it, as long as a few stores are open where i can buy my basic living needs, the rest can be purchased online.
