“Socialism is only a degenerate form of christianity” – Nietzche

He goes on to say that rebels wish to become gods in the latter stages but must abolish their beliefs of rebellion before hand.

“The Rebel” by Albert Camus. I’m about 70 pages in and it’s a hard read but quite enjoyable. He follows the philosophy of absurdism, the belief that human beings exist in a purposeless, chaotic universe. Camus thinks that we should follow the belief of absurdism while searching for the purpose of human existence.

His name is pronounced Cam-moo, if you ever quote him out loud.

The pressure of adversity does not affect the mind of the brave man… It is more powerful than external circumstances.
