    Hi broz.

I’m making this thread because a lot of people are talking about Mexico due to the Trump campaign. Lots of people are arguing over whether building a wall will solve anything. Almost nobody is mentioning the Mexican Drug War even though it plays such a massive role in this whole issue.

The Mexican Drug War is a conflict that has been tearing Mexico to pieces since 2006. The conflict exists because Mexico (contrary to stereotypes) actually has fairly strict drug laws. Thus, the Mexican government is constantly at war with various drug cartels that roam the country. Does that sound familiar? It should. America was doing the same thing to mobsters during prohibition.

Most people prefer to stay in their ancestral homelands. People get up and move for a reason. Many Mexicans move to America because their country is a war zone.

So, what can we do about that? Well, this drug war will never die down until the Mexican government ends drug prohibition. So … why is the US government supporting the Mexican government in this conflict?

Seriously, they do. Your tax dollars at work fellows and gentlemen!

If we want to end the “Mexican invasion” then we need to stop supporting the Mexican government in their stupid drug war.

Were you unaware of the American role in the Mexican Drug War? I can’t blame ya. I wasn’t aware of it until recently. Read scholarly articles. The war you see on TV is just the tip of the iceberg. Right now, your taxes are going to several military entanglements that most people haven’t even heard of.

This is why so many people hate paying taxes. Our taxes are being spent on crap and many of us feel emotionally disconnected from our country.

The “Mexican Invasion” is a byproduct of neoconservatism and the war on drugs. Bringing the troops home will solve the immigrant problem much faster than a wall.

It’s very sad to look at this conflict and its harmful effects on US – Mexico relations. This Drug War has created an anti-Mexican attitude in many Americans who would otherwise view Mexico as a valuable ally.

So, what can we do about that? Well, this drug war will never die down until the Mexican government ends drug prohibition. So … why is the US government supporting the Mexican government in this conflict?

The so-called drug war will end when drugs are no longer profitable. How to achieve this end? My answer is to make using drugs no longer illegal.

The stone age farmers who raise drug crops would have to go back to raising food, but there are worse fates.

In real life, that ain’t gonna happen. Too many people make way too good a living because of their “opposition” to the drug trade, and these are only those who abide by the law. The lawbreakers and the scofflaws do even better. Criminalizing peoples’ addictions is too lucrative to ever believe the “problem will be solved.”

Seriously, we have been in a “war on drugs” since LBJ was president. Most criminalized drugs became illegal in the 1930s. So let us ask ourselves, how did the USA survive from 1600-something until 1930 when drugs were not illegal?

My answer: If someone wants to buy dangerous drugs and subsequently die in a back alley, then that is no reason to make him a criminal. It was his choice and his responsibility. Let him run his life as he sees fit, no matter what — provided he harms no one else, of course.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

The United States operates over and above the will of the people. By all definitions it’s a rogue state and a stumbling supperpower with a hare trigger. I don’t give a f~~~ what they do, I’ve been in a reactionary stance to all their transgressions over and above their charter and so-called “limited power”.

We this nation has NO CREDIBILITY WITH THE MASSES THAT DWELL IN IT.

It’s time for the Spirit of America to follow it’s body into the grave it dug. The body is already dead…

And here I thought the “real cause” of the problem was Mexicans.

NAFTA has been a major driver of immigration also.

One aspect of NAFTA’s impact is agriculture. Essentially, NAFTA allowed heavily subsidized U.S. “Big Food” corporations to flood Mexico with cheap “corn(grains)” and factory meats. About 2 million Mexican farms were driven out of business; which in turn, caused food costs for Mexican consumers to rise sharply. The result: 25% of Mexican population does not have access to basic food, and about the same number suffer from malnutrition. This is in addition to a dramatic increase in unemployment.

Big Food took further advantage of the situation by actively importing depressed Mexicans as “cheap labor” (illegal immigrants). Many of them are essentially slaves. Worked 12 to 16 hours a day, 6 or 7 days a week, at sub minimum wages, with no benefits or over time. Farm work is dangerous. When an immigrant is injured or becomes ill, the Corporations dodge workman’s comp. and insurance costs by calling up ICE, and having the workers deported.

Tyson, Monsanto, ADM, and others all employ these tactics.

Hence the US opposition to Canada’s proposal to legalize
Marijuana, even though some states have done it themselves. You see if there was no Canadian Bud going
south of the boarder, then the shipments of Cocaine and illegal firearms in exchange for it would stop.

NAFTA has been a major driver of immigration also.

One benefit to Mexico of this is the major car manufacturers have set up plants down there to
offset labour costs in the US and Canada.
The UAW have effectively and collectively bargained
    themselves out of good jobs.

All very valid points here. The US government is the cause of the immigration related issues, among other things, and the simple solution is to stop and do…nothing.

Step 1 – start legalizing marijuana. This will reduce the prison population, improving poor communities and cutting off the funding of cartels. All of this will also allow the government to reduce spend due to reduce prison population, better functioning communities, more productive workers….

Step 2 – Lower and eventually eliminate food subsidies. This will give farmers time to seek other sources of income and allow Mexican farmers to be productive again. Also reduce government spending.

Step 3 – Lower and eventually eliminate funding of Mexico. The will not need it since they are no longer waging a drug war. Again, reducing government spending.

Step 4 – Gradually (somehow) start enforcing immigration and employment laws to reduce the volume of existing illegal immigrants. A sudden change is going to be very bad for the economy.

Step 5 – Add tariffs according to cost of living/regulations/human rights from the importing country. This will add revenue to the government while encouraging job growth at home. It will also encourage better living conditions outside of the US…at least as good if not better then the current ‘donations’ we currently throw at these problems.

    Ok. Then do it.

man I don’t even know where to begin with this,

First, Remember that there are not just mexicans crossing the border, there are these countries that maybe you don’t know called Guatemala, Belice, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panamá, Costa Rica, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, etc. etc. etc. A big part of all the illegal immigrants come from ALL these countries, but I get you, since we all latin americans look the same, mostly the ones from these countries, It’s understandable to think that all the illegal are mexicans.

EXCEPT THEY’RE NOT, since they don’t carry any ID or social security number when crossing, it’s so easy for them to say they’re mexicans, because they are deported and carried to the mexican border cities, I mean, even if they don’t get to US, that’s still kind of a win for them, since it’s so hard to send them back to their country, you have no idea how many are living in the southern states of Mexico, refusing to return to their countries.

About the war against drugs and all that in Mexico, it is nothing more than the result of a problem deeply rooted in the mexican government since 1930: Corruptionnothing more, nothing less, why since 1930?, because that’s when the PRI (Partido Revolucionario institucional, or Institutional Revolutionary Party) took power until the year 2000, when a candidate of the opposition won the presidency, obviously you can’t fix 70 years of hegemony in a few years, let alone when this f~~~er returned the power to the PRI.

The corruption is present on every level in the country, from the municipal police working for the criminals of the small comunities, all the way up to the army.

So, even if there wasn’t a war against mexican drug cartels and that s~~~, you still have the problem of the chinese drugs reaching San francisco, and the european drugs that come to New York, because there’s a huge demand in the US for drugs.

Yeah … some of these immigrants come from other parts of Central America. I still blame neocons for that.

During the cold war, the US government sent troops to many Latin American countries in order to fight communists there. I’m not a big fan of communism but I still believe that was none of our business. Now those countries have been destabilized.

Neoconservatism needs to end. It’s like a plague.

With drugs, they should be legal, the gangs stop getting money and the users eventually overdose on something and off themselves. If it involves smoking it needs to be treated the same way as with cigarettes.

The way to stop most of the illegal aliens is to stop allowing these people to get welfare. If they have to work they probably won’t bother showing up.

    Sources!

America’s Role in the Mexican Drug War

America is also contributing to the Colombia conflict.

America was involved in the Guatemala coup.

We also stuck our noses into Nicaragua.

    We also f~~~ed up Chile.

Whenever you see Latin-American gangs in the southern United States, remember that neoconservatism is largely responsible for that.

I read somewhere that Mexico is heavily in debt to the IMF or World Bank as well. It seems like the entire purpose of the UN and their banks is to impoverish poor countries and keep them that way.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO LOOSEN HIS TINFOIL HAT!!! P.S. Using humor because you’re exactly on the money, the current conditions of many poorer countries today can be linked directly back to the UN and its demonic brother USA.
