I’ve always a few books “going” at once:
Iliad – Homer
A Pelican at Blandings – Wodehouse
Rig Ship for Ultra Quiet – KaramDo not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.
Some very good books on this thread.
People’s State: East German Society from Hitler to Honecker by M Fullbrook.
I’m working my way through this. Its a weird one because it looks at the former East Germany as a “benevolent” state. Interesting stuff.I just finished the myth of male power by Dr Warren Farrell. Now reading American conspiracies by Jesse Ventura. Both are really good books.
Lots of good suggestions here gentlemen. 1984 is one of my favorites because it is sort of a MGTOW lesson. /not going to spoil it for you @iruleme/
The Power of Now – Eckhart Tolle
The Name of the Wind – Patrick Rothfuss
Mindfulness for Creativity – Danny Penman
'You can achieve more and be happy avoiding the wrong women than you ever could searching for the right woman.' - KM

I also jump around. Atlas shrugged, essay on shakers in America, aircraft power plants 8th edition.
For in much wisdom is much grief, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.

1984 is an excellent choice. Let me also suggest Huxley’s Brave New World.
I’m more inclined to believe we’ll see Huxley’s nightmare future than Orwell’s.

We already are. But we might get both.

I think the separation between the Elite and the Everyman will be more like 1984, it already is… Huxley had tiers of power that were a bit more benevolent. But yes, it is and will be less dark/openly violent than Orwell’s vision, more of a lulling to sleep of the masses via distraction like Huxley. A mix of the two really…
The Power of Now – Eckhart Tolle
I read from this every morning – a different page to reflect on.
Another great one like this is Awareness by Anthony DeMello (like Power of Now but more simpler)
here is free audiobook: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7ut_SePSo0&t=1084s
Anonymous6I read the Bible frequently. I am also working through Le Morte D’Arthur King Arthur and the Knights of The Round Table by Sir Thomas Malory. It’s long but it’s a classic.
The Power of Now – Eckhart Tolle
A great little book. Gives you a gentle push into mindfulness without too much fuss and has some memorable sentences that I highlighted when reading it.
Read it twice back to back as its a very pleasant read.
Incompitence by Rob Grant (who also wrote Red Dwarf) – about my fifth time reading it. Makes me laugh.
,Use of Weapons by Iain M Banks.
and also the third George RR Martin Game of Thrones book (I’ll start watching the TV show once I’ve finished book 4)."...reinvent your life because you must; it is your life and its history and the present belong only to you.” It is Your Life, Charles Bukowski.

Rig Ship for Ultra Quiet – KaramYeah, I’m working on The Brothers Grimm tales as well.

I’m still reading that.
As for Ventura… I still have his audio book “Do I Stand Alone” which exposed a lot of the “behind the curtain” stuff about politics. It red pilled the s~~~ out of me. I was fresh out of high school when I got it, and my view of politics has never been the same.
Has anyone here read In Search of Lost Time by Marcel Proust?
I’m a huge fan of reading. I usually get through up to 100 books a year. It’s amazing what you can get through when you don’t bother with TV.
I recommend Goodreads . com for finding new authors.
I’m currently reading…
Doomsday Book – Connie Willis.
Fall Of The Roman Empire: A Reappraisal – Michael Grant.Women are so bad, if they changed the law so I kept the house, I still wouldn't marry one. I'd rather be homeless.
I posted this thread back in August. I finally finished 1984. Having been super busy, it took me a while to finish 1984. I’m currently reading
Principles – Ray Dalio
Principles – Ray Dalio
Madness. I literally just saw this thread and went to type the same thing.
It’s a BEAST of a book, about a third of the way through at the moment.
