I refer to women in the 45-55 year old range “The Oprah Generation”. These women were all brought up watching and listening to Oprah and see her as a great role model. For the record, I don’t really have anything Oprah herself, she has invented herself out of nothing and become very rich and famous, and she does some good things with her money. However…….

Basically Oprah has become rich and famous by bringing millions of women along with her on her quest for the meaning of life, and how to have it all. Fine. But my generation of women went along for the ride and assumed that by watching Oprah and doing as she said they too would all become rich and famous, and HAPPY. Oprah sells happiness, which is perfect because happy is a “right now” emotion. Since it is impossible to ever achieve lasting happiness, it keeps them coming back for more.

Somewhere along the line, the women realize that they aren’t happy all the time, in spite of following Oprah on her quest. Since it can’t be Queen Oprah’s fault, and it sure as s~~~ can’t be their own fault, it must be the fault of the husbank (accidentally typed that, but I like husbank, it’s more accurate) or boyfriend.

The one fact that doesn’t jump off the screen for them is that Oprah isn’t married and doesn’t have children. How the f~~~ do you take marriage advice from someone who has never been married? Or parenting advice from someone with no children?

So, here these women all sit, middle aged, divorced, unhappy, with that pouty bitch faced tight lipped stare. Wondering what happened to their youth, why they don’t “have it all”. Well honey, you did have it all, you just didn’t appreciate any of it in your quest for more. But that’s ok, your white knight is just around the corner. He’ll come knocking on your door, catching you eating ice cream with the cats and watching the Bachelor, and he’ll swoop you off the potato chip riddled couch and throw you in the limo and you’ll ride off into the sunset.

He’ll be there any minute now, any minute……………

There all wildebeest now crowding together with books for Oprah’s book club to migrate to PetSmart to stock up on cat litter and food. After that they will continue to migrate eastbound to the local Trader Joe’s to pick up some “2 buck chuck” cases of wine to return home and complain drunk about “where have all the good men gone”. The end……

Oprah is an opportunist, like all opportunists they latch onto what is big and they come up with a new angle to sell it.

When Oprah started her talk show it was all about letting the audience insult the males on the stage, it was very trashy, that was what was big in the 80’s and 90’s, her, Donohue, Sally Jesse, Ricki Lake etc.

Then that got old and she stopped allowing the audience in and slowly the shows became more about topics and her preaching her Left Wing bulls~~~ one second and giving stuff away the next.

She tapped into the White Female middle class and exploited it.

She was in Australia recently and women paid $1000+ to see her talk on stage. I was driving to work and the radio show that was on had one of the women who attended on for a few moments was making a big deal and she says that Oprah told her that,

“For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. ”

On fact this dumb bitch f~~~ed up the quote but anyway, the male DJ explained that the quote is actually from Isaac Newton, the woman didn’t have a clue, so the only thing she took away from all of this was a quote that wasn’t Oprah’s anyway.

    Fools and their money.
