Now matter how much your grandparents may have “wised up” to feminism, the reality is, nobody born in the last 200 years remembers what the world was like prior to feminism. Because feminism has existed in places all over the world for over 200 years. Even back in the early to mid 1800’s in the US, women were given the right to own and manage property. Feminism has had several hundred years to control societal thinking, and control our thought processes. They’ve been shaping and conditioning our way of living for over a hundred years. The entire reason 2nd wave feminism was allowed to thrive is because 1st wave feminism was what allowed to exist in the first place. Even if your grandparents disagree with feminism, subconsciously, their actions and thought processes are influenced BY feminism. Always have been. They’re still – like us, byproducts of feminism.

I agree with sidecar. The only difference between these grandmothers and modern c~~~s is that the Grannies were smart enough to realize their sexual market value wouldn’t last forever—the wall loomed large and they realized they had better snag a man/wallet when the getting was good. Because the window was going to close sooner or later.

Modern women are just not smart enough to make the trade—sex for a long term wallet.

Exactly. Look at it like this: a woman is a bit like a company which does nothing but plunder certain finite natural resources and make money from them. Those resources dry up after 10 years of adulthood or so, so it’s basically a pretty s~~~ty company.

As PistolPete points out, my grandmother realised she needed to diversify–it’s a bit like oil/gas companies diversifying into renewables because they know the oil won’t last forever. Our grandmothers diversified into cooking/cleaning/managing a household so that, when their looks fade, they still can offer value. So marriage back then wasn’t such a s~~~ty deal for men.

That’s all f~~~ed now. Putting money into 20-something girls is like investing in overpriced oil companies when the oil’s about to run out. Putting your money into a post-wall woman is even f~~~ing dumber.

As I’ve said before, it’s just a matter of time before the market corrects itself. That will be a major crash-and-burn scenario.

Just as well as I’ve got all these teacakes to toast.
