    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3074548/Oxford-University-sends-rugby-players-hour-long-good-lad-courses-not-misogynist.html

You read that right, Oxford University is now forcing any man that wants to represent the University in the rugby inter-college cup tournament (and presumably the Oxford-Cambridge varsity match) to attend an anti-misogyny workshop in an effort to combat “lad culture”. On the plus side at least they didn’t use “rape culture” as the justification, this time.

No doubt influenced by the woman attempting (and failing) to sue the university for not properly investigating a rape claim which was referred to the police who did not pursue the matter due to (quelle surprise) lack of evidence.

Worse still though is there’s talk of expanding this program to other sports, notably all male dominated. No mention though of mandatory courses for the netball and lacrosse teams for example in anti-misandry, not dressing like a slut and getting so drunk you can’t control yourself on a Friday night, of course not, can’t have the princesses expected to take responsibility for themselves now can we.

And people wonder why man are less and less interested in marriage and LTRs?

That reminds me of when, while I was an instructor at a certain post-secondary institution, all male staff were required to attend a sexual harassment seminar.  The leader of that session, a radical feminist, insisted that only men did that sort of thing and we had to be told that it’s a bad thing to do.

Most of us had a lot of common sense and treated the session as the joke it truly was.  I asked a question about female students figuring they could weasel a few more marks by, say, behaving in a “cute” manner and if that couldn’t be considered sexual harassment or, at least, improper conduct.  The leader stood on the stage, fuming silently, and refused to give me an answer.

I taught at that place for several more years before I quit and I don’t recall ever hearing that such a session was held again.

I would only agree to attend if the feminazi hag teaching the course has a hot ass and a great rack.

Otherwise, screw the stupid school.  If female athletes don’t have to take anti-misandry classes, then eff the nazi hellhole.

I actually support these types of classes.  Like MOW95 eluded to, if the women instructors are giving free nob jobs, than there’s no reason that men should not listen respectfully.

“I feel it’s true…” is their reason. They really believe that their feelings are reality. It’s called a psychosis. When you’re a baby, should you not be treated properly by your parents, you’ll not grow out of the “I am the Universe” phase. Well, if your parents cater to your every whim, you think the Universe is you still, and your feelings are proof of what occurs. Your statements are also proof of your feelings, and should you be found wrong, you become mortal. So, to deny a such a person is to murder that person. See the omniscient implication in there, being the Universe and all.

You’re not a murderous slimeball, are you?

Take New Ageism, which is the expression of this. What about the SJWs who believe their the highest state of evolution yet?

Still waiting for universities to create a “how not to be a stupid c~~~” course, I know a lot of people in higher education who seem to need it, the more I progress in education the more I realize that degrees don’t mean jack…

It is a common failing of childhood to think that if one makes a hero out of a demon the demon will be satisfied.

    Mango:

I noticed how bad things got in the years between my 2 master’s degrees.  When I was an undergrad 40 years ago, most of my profs had actually spent time in industry, which gave credibility to nearly everything they said.  By the early 1990s, many of the new profs had never spent time in the field, on a shop floor, or in a design office, so I was often skeptical about what I was being taught.

Nowadays, universities have become like money trawlers, doing anything and everything to bring in cash.  Often, good, sometimes risky, research ideas are pushed aside because there’s more funding from other, often mediocre, topics.  I finished my Ph. D. nearly 15 years ago.  I shudder to think of what’s happened since then.

So wait… now they’re trying to say “lad culture” is forbidden? What the f~~~ business is it of some university if rugby players want to go out for a few pints with their mates and watch some footy on a Friday night? This just reeks of thought policing, and those lads should attend this workshop just long enough to tell it to f~~~ its fascist self.

I wonder when they’re going to start saying stuff like, “Intelligent Privilege,” “Maturity Privilege,” or, “Moral Privilege.”

Everytime I follow your comments QWV I am always drawn to this TED talk by Sir Ken Robinson. Worth a watch and absolutely true regarding educational institutions and the arrogant society we live in.

Not a chance, ain’t gonna happen.

Agreed! And I will add, team coaches expect you to drop your studies and serve them. If you are in college to get a degree in order to launch yourself in your chosen field, then joining a team works against your best interests. (Just go to the gym or play intramural sports.)

    Great video deep,
I was once told by a high school typing teacher I would never be much use in modern society because I couldn’t type fast enough. Today, I stop and restart human hearts for a living. The teacher who told me that never made out of her high school teaching job.

And for the recalcitrant trainee there will be false allegations handed out by the door when you exit. Just put your name on the form and we will fill in your “crime”. Examples are: “he made me feel afraid”, “he made me feel uncomfortable”, to full blown rape. And, as is our policy you will not be told of the nature of the charges brought against you until you are terminated forthwith.

    Don’t like it? Sue me.

Pufnstuf for the WIN!  I always thought the same thing when the “Sensitivity Training” movement came about in the 90s.  The modern feminist movement is obsessed with doing away with reality.  REALITY:  It is the male species that has been chosen to initiate sex for more than 3 million years!  Feminists HATE reality.  Ironically, women hate when men won’t initiate sex or hit on them.

This has always been a head-scratcher to me.  It’s illegal to ask a woman for sex in exchange for money.  Can’t they just say NO?  What is the canned feminist reply to why women can’t be responsible, much like children, for making their own decisions?  Is it because feminists intimately know that women are too weak and need the law, god, white knights and society at large to play intermediary?  How/Why would/could men take women seriously when they act like this?
