I’m afraid I don’t agree with much of the pessimism on this thread.

These sort of revolutions have occurred before, and will occur again.

Weaving, electric shears, cropping (ploughing, picking, threshing, etc), manufacturing lines etc etc.

What happens, amongst other things, is that those products become immensely more affordable.

Sure, there are no jobs in wheat scything these days, but does it matter?

Or maybe you’d prefer to return to year zero – every subsistence farmer has a job trying to feed his family on a couple of acres?

Someone has to design, make and service those machines.

My opinion only

I know of Clif but I don’t follow his work. I have issues following his rationale as in my opinion – it seems he waxes ‘mystic’ at times or makes unquantifiable claims at other times to validate a conclusion.

What he predicts here on the economy is what all the respected economists like Jim Rickards, Mike Maloney, G. Celente, Harry Dent, David Stockman and others have been saying and is consistent with monetary policy and current events. There is nothing new in terms of economic forecasts except he says this crash WILL happen in 2017 and due to Trump. Please.

I try to look at the overall market and political scenario like Rickards and Maloney and a crash is a strong possibility but not 100%. And Trump would only be one reason. So I am always wary of explicit prophecies at this early stage of Trump’s tenure. We will know more going into the year.

Again he has some statements on the political scene I don’t agree with – they are somewhat unrealistic and unsubstantiated (like two super factions with Nazis in the US elite and the threat is now over). Real events happen from a number of reasons – even the NWO struggle with their plans and there are real facts as to whom these people are. Many of the NWO actors are of all races, across all continents and they are not hiding.

Such statements are not corroborated by anyone else I know and I cannot myself find validation for this. This is a red flag for me. What he believes and what is the actual situation may be entirely different if the facts don’t support his views.

Other statements like Antarctica I know from other sources. So again this is not anything new to me.

We may have to sometimes take his views on some serious issues as the ‘truth’ or ‘correct’ based on faith alone when facts say otherwise. That I am not prepared to do.

That being said he is entertaining but I usually take him with a very large dose of salt.

(My approach is producing analytical and verifiable hypotheses that stand up to factual evidence. Everyone can see what facts I use and why I made a certain conclusion or statement and where the material came from. Everyone can choose to agree or disagree and we all know exactly why. This stimulates thinking and gets people to know the problem. Everyone wins – I hope)

My view is that economically we have been moving away from a free market for some time and what you see around you is a political-oligarchy. The economic control is about power and the ability to run your life – and you have very little say how things actually work. Cheers.
