[…] While we were in the carport, I heard gunfire from two different places nearby. In one flurry, a SEAL shot Abrar al-Kuwaiti, the brother of bin Laden’s courier, and his wife, Bushra. One of our guys involved told me, Jesus, these women are jumping in front of these guys. They’re trying to martyr themselves. Another sign that this is a serious place. Even if bin Laden isn’t here, someone important is.” […]

[…] We crossed to the south side of the main building. There the Shooter ran into another team member, who told him, “Hey, man, I just shot a woman.” He was worried. I told him not to be. “We should be thinking about the mission, not about going to jail.” […]

Please what? You go to jail for shooting a woman in war? Okay………

Not a soldier now or in the past so take what I say with a grain of salt but I think it has more to do with killing a civilian than it was killing a woman. The US military is only allowed to kill authorized people so when someone is killed who is not authorized it is a big deal. I would like to hear on this from someone who has been in the military and correct me if I am wrong.

I’ve never served in the military, but my position for any who have/do is that if you are in the military and you are sent into combat, you have at least my own personal permission to kill whoever you have to kill to keep yourself and your buddies safe and get the mission done. If you are being told to distinguish this person from that person and put yourself at risk and only shoot under constantly changing rules … then you’re a soldier being used as a cop and the consequences and responsibility are for the politicians who put you there, not for you. Just my opinion…

Look, it's not my fault that tornado dropped a house on your sister. Now get back on your broom and get your ass out of here... and take your monkeys with you
