Here is a hilarious article,
http://jezebel.com/razors-insurance-pillows-the-irritating-womens-tax-s-1696541829
but underlying feminist themes are disturbing:Razors, Insurance, Pillows: the Irritating ‘Women’s Tax’ Still Exists
The pink handle on your razor is costing women extra. So is the hair on your head, your drugstore lotion, and the fact that you live longer, statistically, than the men around you. The “women’s tax” still exists and it’s still unbelievably irritating, gratingly unfair, and, in most places, perfectly legal.
I believe the greatest leap of feminist logic has arrived, Men should pay more taxes because women need money to spend because they live 7 years longer than men AND most importantly, need greater quantities of ever less effective make up.
In no way do they attempt to reach out to men who live 7 years less and therefore decrease the life span disparity, these women believe they should pay less (taxes) than man have to pay because they live longer and need more to spend on make up.
That’s right: razors are more expensive, as are identical face lotions, haircuts, dry-cleaning on identical shirts, and even long-term care insurance, even though Obamacare technically banned gender-based pricing discrimination in insurance coverage. (Insurance companies say women are charged more because, statistically, they live longer, and because they use health services more. It’s the same logic that allows them to charge smokers more and, according to the New York Times, adds up to a difference of “several hundred dollars” per year.)
Do they think that smokers should pay less in life insurance…what?
As ridiculous as the article is, it ends with an insight I’ve rarely seen admitted by a feminist rag”.
In 2010, Consumer Reports found the disparities were still true for many common drugstore items, recommending that women ignore “gendered packaging” and reach for the cheaper option. That’s fine for a razor, but it’s a little trickier when it comes to something like insurance, or mortgages and insurance rates. But hey, good thing women earn as much as their male counterparts, right? Right? What? Christ.
Women are like, woman have to work now??? To have a house and mortgage??? S~~~, feminism just f~~~ed us women.
Keep your eyes open guys their trying to think up a man tax but you know what, we’re men and we’ll come out on top.
Feminism has made far more leisure time for men and more hard work and taxes for women than any other “movement” ever created.
Women have literally screwed themselves.
And men are MGTOW.
#icethemout; Remember Thomas Ball. He died for your children.
What is better is the comments from readers about how it is crap that we pay less for hair cuts, even though getting my hair cut only takes 10 mins with a wash, not 2 hours just to cut and fluff, and the talk about men’s facial cream had me laugh, I had no idea there was facial cream for men, I use a bar of Irish spring and what ever shampoo I can get on sale.
Lots of women I know just get the same razor with the black or grey handle instead of the more expensive but identical pink handled one.
With the men’s facial cream- yeah, some of us have super dry skin and it makes us look diseased if we just let it go. When my skin changed and started getting super dry and flaky, I took my sister with me to Walgreen’s to help me out. Most of the moisturizing lotion targeted to men had the same ingredients as some targeted to women, but came in different packaging and the men’s version was more expensive. So I buy the unscented lotion in the white bottle instead of the charcoal grey bottle, and my sister and I go in halves on bulk packs of Mach 3 razors at Costco.
Neither one of us write blogticles whining about trivial first-world problems either, and believe that correlation does indeed equal causation this time.
Females make up the majority of the electorate and this fact is not lost in the $500 million political consulting industry.
I already subsist in the grey market and bum off the welfare, so I doubt I’ll get hit, but I shudder to think of what is in the pipeline. Even more worrisome are that many of the men who will get hit will favour it!
Vector, “my sister and I go in halves on bulk packs of Mach 3 razors at Costco.” They’re hard to find, but out there are the bottom half only, just the handle with some blades i.e. you buy it once, and then only replace the blade. When price club and costco merged things went downhill for those wanting no frills, warehouse prices.
"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."
I find nothing beats my dad’s old Gillette safety razor with the replaceable blade, easy to clean and cuts my seasonal beards like a bush hog. Women buy the most ridiculous s~~~, so why shouldn’t they get taxed?
The Man Tax is already here. It’s called Obamacare.
and even long-term care insurance, even though Obamacare technically banned gender-based pricing discrimination in insurance coverage. (Insurance companies say women are charged more because, statistically, they live longer, and because they use health services more.
Obamacare forces men to subsidize women’s insurance by forcing men to pay for health insurance policies that include coverage for things like maternity care that no man will ever need. And this greedy entitled whiny c~~~ has the gall to complain about having to pay part of her own share? Meanwhile coverage for things like prostate cancer is a “cadillac plan” option and men have to pay a premium health insurance tax for it.
And bitching about razors? If this stupid slitch doesn’t want to spend so much on razors she should learn to use a straight like a man and shut the f~~~ up.
