I’ve been lurking here for the past couple of months enjoying the forums and the stories from all of you. I’m very grateful for this site, not so much for myself as I was already heading in this direction but for my sons. Looking through the site has helped crystallize thoughts that were too scattered without the framework you all have provided. And now I’ll be able to pass your collective wisdom onto my sons.

A little about me, I’m about to go through my second divorce (uncontested thankfully). I have 4 kids by 3 women and other than the first managed to avoid the soul draining succubus aspect for the last 3. Although I am still looking at child support payments for the next 15 years.

So with that being said, I offer a bit of possible advice for those of you that can afford it and are going through a divorce or dealing with child support. Offer their mother a place to live that you pay the mortgage on but keep it in your name and she is responsible for the bills and upkeep. This will cost more than the child support itself however if you have 2+ kids with her being able to walk away once they are grown with a house at least partially if not completely paid off will help secure you financially. I would suggest a house close to yours so that you can see the kids more often (if you want to).

Thanks again for all the good advice,
    Wongataa

The house thing and the shuffle one must do to lessen the strain of the salve chain all we can say is we’re all EARS and sometimes have more to add or something to shoot down!

    Welcome!

I have discovered a truly remarkable list of reasons why women are not necessary for a happy life, but alas this margin is too small to contain it.

    Welcome,

I feel your pain on the child support level. That gets to be my Xmas gift this year. Two years of Joint Custody and now this woman decides she wants to keep joint custody and now wants Child Support. No doubt in my mind it is motivated by some internal petty revenge.

Needless to say, Welcome to MGTOW! Have a great holiday! All the best to your Sons.
