Very true , a guy I know was roped in he supported the mother and the kid through university, he reached 55 and was kicked to the kerb two weeks after being laid off.

Why can’t these women just make it work with the Baby Daddy? I don’t beleive for one second that all these guys were jerks or losers. An average guy is an average guy. Only difference is cultural norms.

If she dumped the father of her baby, what loyalty is she going to show you? And if he dumped her, then he probably had a good reason.

I raised her kid for 4 years, from 10 -14. I taught the kid some manners, raised the kid’s grades from B-C’s to straight A’s. I always took my daughter to a nice restaurant on my daughters birthday. So, I took this kid to the best restaurant in town. While her mother was doing the kid’s hair just before I took the kid to dinner, the mother complained to the kid I got the toilet dirty when I took a s~~~ and did not make my own coffee at night. That’s the worst she could think of. The kid told me this at dinner. I told the kid her mother was planning to leave. The kid did not want to leave. Her mother got into a fight with me that night and they left the next day.

Of course, as I had no rights to the kid, the mother insisted I never speak to the kid again.

I got well used. AWALT. I know I changed the kid’s life for the better. So no good deed goes unpunished.

My experience was different. My ex had a two year old at the time I became ‘Dad’. The actual father was never in a relationship with her, and thus I was the first man who was ever in the boys life on an every day basis.

At first, there were some complaints about the biological Dad, but I always took his side, which shutdown almost all complaints. The Dad and I made sure there was always respect for our roles in the boys life. That still goes on today.

There were absolutely times where she used the boy to justify crappy behavior. In generally, I’d say women have a conflict between showing appreciation for a man who helps them with parenting and her need to think of herself as independent. She couldn’t really grasp that my relationship to the boy had nothing to do with her. She didn’t get that until after we were divorced and I treated him no differently.

I do believe that my situation was rare. I don’t regret what I’ve done, but I would not do it again. I would consider helping another boy become a man, and wouldn’t even need appreciation to do that. However, I won’t do so with hands tied behind my back, to have the boy removed from my life without his or my consent, and to be vilified for my efforts.

They dumped the baby daddy because they were bored and thought there must be more to life. They all want one more ride on the c~~~ carousel before it is too late as they miss the ‘gina tingles. They believe there is a rich, good looking, exciting man out there for them so while they are waiting for him to turn up they will ride the carousel for a while.

Except they bring nothing to the table and don’t realise that nobody wants to take on a middle aged woman with children, a crap/no job and a severe shopping addiction. The rich, good looking, exciting men are f~~~ing hot 25 year olds so they end up pump and dump fodder.

This is the point where they either decide to try and lure a wallet or accept being with cats, wondering where all the good men went.

I would love to know the stats on these late 30s/early 40s women who think the grass is greener. I would bet the majority of them become just another dating website profile before their looks finally abandon them and it is game over for them.

Agree on never get involved with a single mom – I had one many years ago that I was involved with. We lived a couple of hours apart, so saw each other on weekends. She was certainly horny, and we had lots of sex when we got together. She had three kids, and I realized that I was never going to move up her way, and she wasn’t going to move my way. I also didn’t want to have to deal with her kids (she was starting to have issues with her daughter, who was around 9 back then). Looking back, I dodged a bullet.

Also never get involved with a divorcee (which is the ultimate mistake that I made). There’s a reason that they’re divorced. Hell, just stay single altogether, and you’ll be set.

A woman who I work beside and who has already gone through two or three husbands, having one adopted kid and one to one of the husbands, has just sunk her hooks in to an unsuspecting bachelor who she has just met.

I met the guy and while he is very nice, sadly he’s not the brightest guy on the planet. He is in his mid 50’s and he has a low paid manual job but through years of his labour he has managed to buy a comfortable newish three bedroom detached house.

My work colleague who is in her mid 40’s and earns twice his salary, had only been seeing (dating) him for a few weeks when she convinced him that it would be a good idea if her and her two kids moved in with him. He foolishly agreed so she rented out her home and now surprise! surprise! three months later they are to be married.

Now we all know that his small head is ruling his big head but there really should be a law against this sort of blatant financial predation of men by gold digging women.
