A certain degree of apathy is a useful element for MGTOW to have in their personalities. It’s a sign of intelligence to know how to pick your battles. I’m getting used to cultivating this element of apathy in my personality but it’s not easy. We’ve been conditioned since childhood. It takes some getting used to, to undo the conditioning. I’m learning to appreciate giving up trying to change mechanisms that are just too energy draining to bother tampering with. Some MGTOW have to get used to receiving dirty looks. People are conditioned to think that there’s something wrong with someone who does not want to try and fix what’s broken in society. I don’t have time for fixing crap that I was not responsible for busting up in the first place.

Know when it is your duty to give them zero explanations for your actions.

With respect, not apathy rather indifference.

UT you are right. NFG is the way to sanity.

I have found real serenity and peace of mind in really seeing things as they really are. The whole society is one big mental ward where every patient thinks they are a Psychiatrist. If every person stuck to fixing themselves first and not trying to fix something or someone else first, the world would be a totally different place. As for me, all I can do is work on making the world a better place by making myself a better person.

    condemnation before investigation = ignorance

Actually if people just thought about the other person for a change instead of themselves there would be a lot less violence and general BS in this world.

One must be very selective about a great many things.

A MGTOW is a man who is not a woman's bitch!

This! apathy is a state that you should avoid, not saying that you are not free to take a day off and spend it in bed with an empty mind, but that should be done for yourself, not for the f~~~ers outside of your house. Just don’t give a f~~~, is way better.

I like this sentence you wrote:

It’s a sign of intelligence to know how to pick your battles.

As an ex industrial Mechanic converted to the ICT Field i have had to learn this lesson, and am still struggling.
Working for an 80+ heads company, i see many things in electricity, paint, woodwork, drywall around our building that i would be able to either fix myself, or lend a hand fixing.
In that sense, accepting every task, challenge battle… is a form of white-knight-ism. [SJW speak]

It regularly happens that i get called to assist (mostly women) with some BS that i could do…
BUT AM NOT PAID TO DO

At work it is easy to assess responsibilities:
    – Is it included in the work contract?
    – Would my Team leader expect me to execute the task because it has to do with IT?
    – Is the execution of this task a waste of money?

In my private life where there are no friends, no family, the question is:
    – am i legally forced to execute this request?

Picking battles, the right ones, or avoiding all battles if possible is One of the Core elements of GYOW.
Even if the refusal to execute is hard and i see someone struggle for a moment.
Seeing someone struggle means i am looking, and therefor am bothering to look in the first place.
Bothering to look is using my time, therefor not NFG.

Maybe MFG is a good interim step
MINIMAL f~~~s given – that might be a good piece of advice?

Indifference: I agree Jan, better than apathy indeed.
NFG: Essential ‘background music’ playing somewhere in my reasonable mind.
MFG: Thanks g-mow, I’ll toy with that idea.
MGTOW: I check into the site and feel understood by many.
In the hope of seeing better days: Hope sustains our desire to maintain sovereignty (in the MGTOW sense).

Know when it is your duty to give them zero explanations for your actions.
