I’m not sure how the law works in other parts of the world but here in the UK, a divorce on it’s own doesn’t mean an end to financial responsibility between ex-spouses. I can’t help but feel extremely sorry for this poor guy in this BBC news story below (as long as the link appears).

There should not even be a need for any man to even say that out loud.

Under the circumstances ,a man would need a list of reasons TO do it. Not any reason not to.

What really P~~~ES ME OFF is that she only works 2 days a week and has moved since the divorce into a succession of increasingly expensive properties.

Clearly she has been living way beyond her means, the f~~~ing bitch !!! 🙁

Sadly not. A lot of divorces end without a financial order, except for maintenance. Lawyers should tell their clients to get one, but no doubt they don’t cos it means more work down the line? Years later and despite moving on with their lives, the old hag suddenly rears her ugly duck face. Grrrrrr . . .

Stuff like this made my resolve to never get married more or less final. Kids, one day, maybe. But marriage hell no.

In Oz – you need to be careful about what type of legal financial agreement you choose.

You can still be screwed – even after death. I posted this in another thread — but here’s it is:

* Divorce
* financial settlement made by family court at the time
* man pays all obligations (child support etc)
* ex continues to make his life a living hell until his death, with constant threats, frivolous medical board claims against him (he’s a doctor, gets reprimanded by the medical board), false complaints to police etc. Quote from judge: “The plaintiff’s attitude to the deceased since the end of their relationship has been one of relentless hostility,” he said, “and she carried into effect as best she could her stated aim of making his life a misery, pursuing him and his resources in every way she could – through reviews of child support, professional discipline, and actions for damages.”
* man works hard and becomes financially successful – dies and leaves money to daughter
* ex sucks $750k from estate upon his death, because she’s hopeless at everything except leeching and destroying

No matter where you are in the world . Family court can do what the f~~~ they please .

NEVER THINK AS A MALE YOU ARE SAFE BECAUSE YOU HAVE AN ORDER FROM THE COURT . Family court orders are not worth the paper they are written on . Family court is cash for kids and any other cash they can rake in . Why they even have written laws is beyond me . They do what the f~~~ they please .
