Will this gulf between men and women ever be fixed? I picture this scenario:
A few years into the future, all the websites are making articles about the serious problem between men and women. They won’t date, they won’t marry, and they cannot have children. I don’t want to think about the huge load of misandry, so I’ll just skip that. You know that they’re going to blame men in any silly manner. However, men might finally learn to speak up and stand up for themselves. In that highly unlikely scenario, it’ll explode into a huge flame war between the sexes and women will start to realize they can’t win. You can’t squeeze blood from a turnip, so they’ll realize the glorious wealth and easy life they thought was there, isn’t. They’ll have to make concessions.
Finally, there is a huge forum and a huge debate. It’s all over the news, and the government is involved. There are two representatives, one fat ugly woman and a slender, handsome man. They spar and the man forces the women to make concessions.
In the end though, if a girl says, “OK, I’ll have sex with you and I’ll love you, so I concede of this,” you might think, well, that’s great, but still, there’s that feeling. Why didn’t she consider this on her own? Do you think this gulf could somehow be closed and the issue between men and women be resolved?
As others have pointed out, we are in the same position as Japan was two decades ago. Look at them now.
We have to find a way to protect both genders from being able to financially and mentally abuse each other once they have children or get married. We cannot change the way women work/think so our last option is the legal system. It’s a known fact that men, regardless of their color, get longer or harsher criminal sentences than women. Now you might ask “Why would you talk about criminal sentences since it’s not the subject of the question?”. It might not be on topic, but it gives you a larger picture about women favorism in our legal system. There’s been a case here recently where a woman parked her car in the left lane of the highway to save some ducks. She ended up killing a father and his daughter who were riding a motorcycle.
“On June 27, 2010 at 19:20, Emma Czornobaj was driving home in her father’s car on Autoroute 30 in Candiac Qc. when she noticed a group of ducklings who were stuck on the highway without their mother. Being an animal lover, she reacted by immobilizing her car and making an attempt to get them out of harm’s way. After Ms. Czornobaj had exited her car and had attempted to catch the ducklings without succes, she was on her way back to her car when a motorcyclist ran into her car at high speed. Sadly, both the motorcyclist and his passenger (his daughter) were killed.”
Guess what was her sentence… *drum roll*… 90 days in prison (she was even selfish enough to appeal the sentence). Here’s another part of that article:
“Some people agree with Ms. Czornobaj’s gesture and some disagree; either way I hope most people will agree that sending this young woman to jail is too much. The worst part is this she could go to jail for life. Yes, you read that right, maximum sentence possible is life in prison. If you agree that this is absurdly harsh punishment, please sign & support this petition by sharing it with others around you.”
Replace that woman with a man, and you wouldn’t see people showing any support, they would laugh and call him an idiot for parking his car in the fast lane. You can bet his sentence would be a lot longer than 90 days too.
Women want equality, why not give them the same sentences as men? So long as women get treated more nicely in and out of court, I don’t think men will ever be interested in having children or getting married because of the sexism of our legal system. With the recent events in the US, you often hear about politicians talking about restoring or protecting the faith of the citizens towards law enforcement. All they would need to do in our case is swap the words in bold and that would help in solving the problem. We have to find a way to protect …
That’s what the men’s rights movement is for, and God bless them, each and every one. I’m busy being self-indulgent and won’t be joining their marches. I’m glad they are doing it and wish them every success, but count me out.
That said, I do agree with your thoughts on that “save the ducklings” traffic wreck. The way the legal system treats men vs. women is hopelessly imbalanced. Unless you’re a woman, then it’s all good.
