    Posted in wrong thread.. Woops.

I have been a fan of the Rob Report for a while now. I almost think that Keymaster worked for them at one point since it has his style of Web Design there.

So yesterday, I came across this wonderful article. And I have to ask myself, why I never bought brand new bike. I should have. And I wanted one of these for as long as I can remember.

This model the OG has been one of my most iconic images in memory forever. It is the O.G. Bike for me. It only gets better with a Tasteful rear end extension IMO.

After 20 years, this is what it looks like today. Still, a great looking ride.

And man, what a great Cluster of dials. Still no BMW, but amazing.

I’m not really fond of the Yellow look here.

And of course, you can’t speak about these bikes unless you start looking at the Ninja as well.

Another thread goes more into the bike and why they are no new models for 2020.

Now if there is one bike that has me going WHOA this year? It would have to be this AMAZING bike from Indian Motorcycles.

Oh Baby.. So I want you..

The Hayabusa is a big big bike. You are practically laying down on your stomach, almost like superman riding that bike. I think I have seen on with the Japanese flag paint job.

I prefer the Yamaha XJR 1300, as I prefer naked bikes and more comfortable seating positions.

    These are some beautiful bikes.

The ONLY problem with riding any of them is ALL THE DRIVERS on the road….. All it takes is ONE bad driver, and we all know that theirs at least ONE around every corner….

The people who drive these also generally are not the safest and nicest people on the road either.

I remember when these hit the market. Blue pill vag worshiping simp cucks were buying these to impress women. They just cruised around town between traffic lights. Nowadays those chumps are pretty much a modern day Al Bundy without any life.

Not a bike fan, but the motor. Now that is am amazing work of art. 1.3L 4 stroke in line 4. 16 valves double overhead cam. 173bhp just oooooozing with potential. It only got better each generation. Its like the ultimate chocolate bar only this one you can keep on having a go at it every day.
    Oh and this V8

The only thing I don’t get is why Suzuki did not take advantage of this and really make waves.

    From the web site:
900cc 3 cylinder high efficiency engine The target market is power generation for plug-in automobiles. Design goal is 80 hp continuous and 50% thermal efficiency using improved adiabatic combustion and unique combustion pressure control.

I don’t think that’s even possible. Last time I checked, ICE engines were at about the max at 30% efficiency.
In fact, the colder the day, the more efficient an engine is in terms of the heat being used for heating.

In fact, I did make a design a while back where the engine and all its heat was used to make power AND be used for heat as well.

I never went into the CAD/CAM stage. All I did was some Napkin Blueprints. However, the 4 cycle combustion cycle is the problem. Each way their is a trade off.

If HEAT is something that you want, then you can use the waste heat to heat your home etc. In fact, most people don’t get this, but a small 2 cycle motor is really all you need for Heat and power at your home if you have a battery bank to store that power, and a Water heater to store that heat.

At some point, you need to have a Steam cycle that is able to Build up the heat from say the Exhaust.

You Can run a all cast Iron / Steel engine, and run it much hotter (say a Diesel engine) and then maybe get up to that 50% efficiency. But there are still Frictional losses.

I have been wanting to build something like that for a long time. Basicly and enclosed steam Jacketed engine. But each time I look into how much maintenance is involved with something like that, it simply does not make sense. A seal failure would be a catastrophic failure.

You could use the water as it would also provide motive force if done right from the expansion, but then again, you are going to get tons of Contamination with the oil sump. Corn Juice cars already have that problem with it getting past the rings and oil contamination.

About the best thing to do is simply use heat exchangers. SO a Turbocharged Diesel motor would be best to get heat and power at the same time. Store the electricity in batteries, and then the heat in your water heaters/Steam vessel.

You could also just use Large Air tanks as Batteries, and that would work. However, you are talking about 3,000 PSI VERY large tanks. It’s possible, and would last much longer then batteries if made out of Carbon Fiber tanks. But again, EXPENSIVE!

I’m still kind of wondering why they have not pushed more into what they do with Back ups like the Kensington Turbine. It could take less then 2 cubic feet of space, and supply all the power needed. That includes the cooling and exhaust.

You could get about 450 amps of power easy. And it would last just about forever if you use the right ceramic and aerospace materials. Its Naturally cooled by the air intake, and the exhaust gasses would be used by the heating system so the 300 degree temperature gradient would be practically nothing to keep in check. Some car exhausts run WAY hotter.

Noise would not really be so big of an Issue on the freeway while at full bore charging. You could get away with a much smaller battery as well to handle power peaks etc. Even Supercapacitors would be a better option at that point that just dump the power for acceleration needs. Leaving cheap long lasting cells high capacity but low drain cells to handle the mundane tasks of around the town driving.

For example, the Nissan Leaf Old Battery pack that was not actively cooled would last 20 plus years if it was used in this fashion. Stability is the name of the game.

Really, when it comes to High efficiency, the Prius really is the pinnacle of that. Its one of the most dependable Hybrid cars out there with amazing efficiency and practicality.

There was a Diesel Hybrid car that was on road map that never came to light. But again, if you want to make POWER at low RPM and high efficiency, then a Diesel is the way to go.

    https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1098429_next-toyota-prius-hybrid-40-percent-thermal-effiency-from-engine-toyota-says

And as far as I know, 40% has been about the MAX that I have seen so far. If it can do 50%! That would be some Amazing stuff!
