I don’t think we’re going to have a good red sonja film, or any athletic female for that matter, until Hollywood and women in general have a huge shift in what they think of a woman’s body. They seem to believe that showing a woman who actually looks like she might be able to physically perform what she does on screen and has average to above average sized breasts…will turn off moviegoers somehow.

Why is it that male action heroes are required to actually look like they could be physically dominating while women are supposed to like they are in desperate need of a sandwich? Seriously, you could go to virtually any gym in the US and find a woman who looks more the part for these action films than the woman they sign up for these roles.

Why is it we hear of men going to 6 months of training in preparation for a film, and they look it. We here the same, and they don’t look any different than they did 6 months earlier?

Conan is my favorite movie, except the 2011 remake. I just recently bought the Atlantean Sword off eBay and put it on my man cave wall. I’ve waited my whole life for another Conan movie and I hope they finally do it; Arnold is interested in it.

If they make a realistic film with a woman that looks tough enough she wont be attractive. If they make a film wheres shes hot and feminine body its not real and no one thinks she could survive anything. Either way you’ve got a movie that disappoints, guys dont go to see ugly man-ish strong women, and men are tired of seeing waif women mary sues when its so out,of the realm of reality.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

I liked the Marcus Nispel Conan 2011, it wasn’t a bad movie and Jason Momoa looks the part based on Robert E. Howard’s Conan. The script could’ve been better but it’s easier to criticize than actually be involved in such a project.
