I want to share an example which, i’m sure, overthrew the belief of NAWALT for many men in my country.
Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and his wife Evelin Ilves, have decided to dissolve their marriage concluded in 2004. The personal life of the presidential couple hit the headlines in August 2014 when Evelin Ilves was captured on camera kissing a young man on the terrace of the Komeet cafe in Tallinn. Evelin Ilves responded on her Facebook page by saying she was living through difficult times and offered her apologies to everyone she had offended.
Today’s news announced that President had to borrow 100 000 euros for the divorce. I think this was the final piece that busted most people’s illusions about the ex-First lady. Some other facts:
    – She released a book about the 12 years of cohabitation (9 of which she was married to the President) where she claimed that nobody asked if she wanted to be the first lady and she had no chance to continue professional work or carry out herself the way she wanted.
    – These claims have been disproved. The head of presidential office added that she was in conflict with the office workers and acted like a rebel.
    – The First Lady received a monthly compensation (30% of what President got – last time it was over 1500 euros and the average wage in Estonia is about 1000 euros)
    – Additionally since 2006 her clothes and jewellery were paid in nearly 100 000 euros + travel expenses in unknown extent..
    – She had access to a car and a chauffeur and she had a personal secretary.
    – She had various campaigns going about eating healthy and excercising and she has been quite popular. She had a grand makeover from an average overweight woman to a fit classy lady and it was positively noticed in public.
    – In the book she claimed that she now has no home, no job and no money. But she received all these compensations and now we heard about the 100 000 President had to give her. Also she continues to travel and attend various high class events all the time.

The women sure are hard to satisfy.

Women say the things they say and do the things they do because it’s what women want to hear.

An article about how the first lady of Estonia enjoys being the First Lady of her country, loves her role as first lady, has money, has parties, etc. doesn’t fit in with what women want to read.

Sort of like the old say about news reporting. If it bleeds it leads. No pun intended but I’ll take it.

If she was happy with her life then her story won’t make it any further than Redbook.

If she was a victim the she will get global coverage and become the chair for a woman’s advocacy group and be respected. All the while she’s getting laid by some barely legal dick.

"I asked you a question. I didn't ask you to repeat what the voices in you head are telling you" ~ Me. ........Yes I'm still angry.

I think the part that amazes me the most, is that even though she was clearly blessed, she is somehow the victim.

    That amazes me too.

Seems like she’s testing both angles. She claims she’s a victim but tries to declare that she’s free and independent now. Currently it seems that the majority of women disapprove her behavior.
