Society has accepted the idea that long hair is okay for women, but for the most part a man is frowned upon for having long hair. What are your thoughts on this?

I think women are okay with it because they’re jealous that good looking men can pull off long hair better than they can. Just look at Fabio in his prime for one of many examples.

i had hair half way down my back almost always tied ,
many moons ago.
men’s hair is usually short because of the DANGEROUS WORK we do.
i cut it after being a hippie for a few years and getting a job!
at 50 + it doesn’t matter to me any more,
except that i work a DANGEROUS JOB .
i do not want my hair to get caught in any machinery..

What Hitman says is true as well as long hair on men isn’t as looked down upon as it used to be. Before scissors men had long hair anyway. meh Personal opinion I guess.

Back in the day long hair was the norm for Men.I got long hair. Thats just who I am. Some dudes have a problem with that. I lay awake at night worrying about that.

Yes, because of the dangerous jobs we do.

I grew my hair from 1990 to 1995 – long as hell. Women became jealous about that thick long blonde hair. They all wanted to touch it to see if it was real. But society saw me as a creep with a dubious background and no sense in life.

So when I entered professional life in 1995 I had to shorten it. And it was not only for the “good reputation” but for the fear of getting it stuck in machinery or difficult to reach part of buildings.
If you have to crawl into dirty holes to install cables and network s~~~ then long hair becomes a real hassle. And it is unnerving if they fall in your face when carrying TV sets… And tiring them together was even more uncomfortable.

This hair would accumulate dirt like a cat dragged across a dirty floor.

So it had to go in 1996.

The Ancient Greeks had long hair, and Jesus Christ himself had long hair. Men also wore beards.

But the idiocy of today is to emasculate men by making them have short hair and shaved faces, to appear womanly and pretend the opposite is masculine, It would be like shaving the mane of the lion and pretending that was normal.

Alas, when I am working I too adhere to these standards. However long hair and facial hair is naturally more attractive to women, who have a primal understanding that those traits are a display of male health and fitness. Usually I say ignore women entirely, but this one time I think it shows how stupid society is to ignore that.

Right now my hair is past my shoulders. I’ve grown it since last November 11th. If my hair was longer and I had big muscles, I would look like Conan The Barbarian (1982), which is what I’m going for.

I always thought it was funny how I was made fun of on the first day of boot camp for having long hair and attacked for being feminine looking.

Yeah, these guys don’t look masculine at all.

ran out of money and had to hit the skids for a brief period.

Nice, I just started growing mine out three weeks ago. Arnold as Conan is an admirable look for any man to strive for. 80s and 90s pro wrestlers are also an endless untapped source of masculine looking men with long hair.

Any one of these guys looks better than the average long haired woman.

Also note, in nature it is usualy the males that are the more decorated , with manes, hoods,feathers, colors.
