I have been hacked  at two sites out side of this one…  I am so distraught changing passwords at several places… my definitions are gone…I some one was able to log into my email for a short time… thats resolved but I am unsure how much damage they done or how much they will do… I posted that I doxed myself should not have done that..No financial info or anything that damaging but I lost the work I did here….  by getting into my email they opened  themselves as me into urban dictionary and unpublished…Grrrrr   not sure this was a female guys they didn’t touch the negative definition for feminist movement…

Hi Harpomason. Very sorry to just get wind of this. Change your passwords first and foremost, but are you sure it was unpublished?….. and not just some asshole at Urban Dictionary who felt like being a dick. Any visitor with malicious intentions would see the very public request here, and if they wanted to be dickheads I wouldn’t put it past them to try and intercept in some way…. and try and convince themselves they “won” some kind of victory.

You can’t be too careful with your emails, but many sites you sign up with have no idea what your password is. We don’t know anyone’s passwords either because it’s encrypted and this is standard on most sites. Passwords are not typically stored in plain text. But if you have any question at all, by all means change your passwords. Preferably something different for your emails than what you use on websites.

Be in touch by email if you have any concerns. As far as the MGTOW definition is concerned. We are the dot com and anyone can say whatever they want. It doesn’t mean jack s~~~. Beyond the very broad definition we wrote on the “about” page …. any further definition will always be ONLY be written by the individual.

NOBODY will ever take that away.

Yes KM someone was definitely logged into my email on another device , because for 20 minutes I could not log into it..My google+ and other passwords was in a folder at the email account…not the password for this site but logging into places using google+ is pretty standard now  so once they opened my gmail they opened where other passwords were stored…

careless of me to save passwords in an online email account. but I never thought much of it because I do nothing financial online no banking or bill paying, so I figured whats the harm no one can steal from me..

@harpomason: Thumbs up on reposting…never surrender! I went to the website and downvoted all of the remaining entries anyway, just because I’m an asshole.

I sympathize with your plight. I just had my private/personal and my business e-mail (Yahoo) accounts hacked. Yesterday I got a text from Chase telling me someone has compromised my  credit card account and now the account will have to be closed and a new one opened with a new number. Weird, because I very rarely use credit cards.

Anyway this s~~~ happens often so there’s definitely no reason to “feel awful” as you put it. There’s a lot of losers out there squatting in mom’s basement channeling their “loserism” into annoying people who actually produce something worthwhile to society. Thankfully you apparently didn’t suffer any significant financial repercussions.

I know most of you men know the difference between a hacker and a cracker…I used to crack wep keys using cain&able and other programs on a laptop I used..Not for malicious purposes but teaching myself about security, and ways of using the only bandwidth I had available at the time…this makes me feel foolish to have been this careless…Its just a little time lost, for me nothing more..I have spare time now that I live for no one but myself..I have a patio job in bossier city La. that will take a few weeks..starts as soon as the material arrives…I will publish it again before I leave for that job…It didn’t take long to publish..I just feel so bad we lost all the up-votes  you men were helping me with..

I found an email from urban dictionary confirming I did un-publish, so it was done through my email and google+ just as a figured..

Also an email confirming I had just successfully published the term “strong and independent woman”

Which was defined as: “an absurd claim made by welfare mothers or the war cry of the feminist movement.”.

This definition was also unpublished..

feminist movement is still published several times with this definition: “what happens just before a woman wipes her ass” with this example: Jill just returned from the toilet where she had her daily feminist movement.

I am on one of 5 machines I have.  Two of which I could care less about. They are old UNIX laptops given to me, using sandbox virtual os just to open emails from urban dictionary now… My desktop the machine my favorite is infected, I am , running scans malwarebytes, will run a  highjackthis log on boot-up. …I noticed the desktop was acting strange at around 8:00am A couple hours later when all this happened I  looked to the clock in the corner it said 7:52am and did not change. I knew then the machine was infected  most likely by an email I opened…..I now believe KeyMaster was right about it being urban dictionary but they sent an infected email so they didn’t have to crack or hack, and they could make it appear  I un-published my own definitions…publishing is automated and done by votes. Un-publishing can only be done by the author of the definitions, as only when I log in can that button be seen…If they were gonna mess with me from the site itself they could just erase all my work and ban me from the site..They left my account and other definitions alone…I will have it published again by the morning..

OK Harpomason. Big thanks for the update, and I hope everything works out.

If anything, this is a perfect example of why MGTOW (and this website) exists in the first place. Nobody else by some unanimous popular agreement will decide or attempt to define Men Going Their Own Way. We’ve already done that, and so will the individual. The world doesn’t want Men to Go Their Own Way, and they sure as hell won’t do you any favors by putting your definition of MGTOW at the front. They would much rather convince themselves of ANYTHING else.

When you think about it, trying to generate votes for MGTOW is like trying to convince a guy he shouldn’t get married – although I totally admire your dedication and perseverance.

Hey Harpomason, I know it’s kinda late and pointless, but I use a paper hard drive, they have two kinds, stripped and not stripped, they both work fine, unless you use a water based marker, and it gets wet! Or, a dedicated thumb drive; I leave as few digital prints as possible, all my persons on the internet are factitious and fraudulent, including the girly name I abandoned in the girly cloud box I returned… I also use a net-screen
