While this film is noted as a brilliant indictment of the McCarthy “witch hunts”, it also shows the effects on society of female hysteria. The film shows how the combination of religious zealotry and a bunch of hysterical girls caused the execution of several good men in addition to innocent women as witches. I strongly recommend this movie to all MGTOWS, especially for the impassioned performance of Daniel-Day Lewis as a good man brought down by the testimony of a bunch of lying hysterical girls and holy rollers.

I haven’t seen the Daniel-Day Lewis version, but I have seen it several times with other lead actors. I rate it up there with the great tragedies of past eras. It is Arthur Miller’s masterwork. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Crucible

I totally agree with your observation about female hysteria. Moreover, I believe we are seeing a perfect analog of The Crucible at work on today’s college campuses; anywhere, in fact, where a man dares disagree with some feminist.

Feminism is the witch hunt of the 21st century.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

I’m sure you will enjoy Daniel-Day Lewis’s interpretation and I urge you to see it. His performance of a decent rational man trying to fight female hysteria and ultimately dying for it brought tears to my eyes.

Still women igniting the fire too, inciting the witch hunt.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. --Einstein

If you haven’t actually read the transcripts from the HUAC then you should. When you do, you may change your tune about it being a tragedy.

The tragedy is the the Venona project found out that members of FDR’s cabinet was sending information to the Communist Russians. The response from the White House was to shut the project down. This was an army project. They kept it running anyway up in to the 1950’s.

BTW. The Venona project independently verified that the Rosenbergs were spying and giving information to the Communist Russians. These are the people that bleeding heart liberals want to say are innocent and were railroaded.

    Look it up.

Thanks for bringing up Venona, combatmedic. It’s a nice big Reality Sandwich I enjoy cramming down the gullets of those parroting the party line about McCarthy, HUAC, and Soviet penetration of the US government and military.

Henry Wallace – FDR’s vice-president – was a fellow traveler and deliberately leaked information to the USSR. Sadly, he was far from alone. Beginning in the Great Depression and for long afterward, there were thousands of educated idiots who believed Stalin’s lies about the USSR being workers paradise. Even after the Soviets began telling a limited amount of truth about Stalin, there were still idiots in the West defending him.

Those controlling the Venona output learned early on that they needed to disguise the source of their intel from large portions of their own government. Despite that care, Venona was “lost” when an FBI agent who was also a Soviet spy accidentally walked in on someone preforming a Venona decrypt and realized what was happening. He informed his controllers, the USSR changed it’s coding procedures, and the West lost the small window into Soviet activities it had come to rely on.

However, if you believe the MSM, Hollywood, and other apologists, it was all just a scare and witch hunt effecting innocent people.

Whenever anyone brings up this McCarthyism topic I always just stand back and watch the fireworks, but you sir are a well read man. It is not easy to bring this side to the issue up in public conversation because people usually only ´get´ one side of the story. In this case I recommend Diana West´s book, American Betrayal.

Funny enough. I got to watch that movie in English in grade 10 or 11 If I can recall.

My classmates only thought about the witch hunt theme of the movie, I ended up being reminded as to why women tend to be danger to be around.

Actions have consequences and consequences have prices. Cause and effect at work.
