This article highlights nicely what I postulated in a few threads over the last few days (it’s amazing how once your tuned in to the dynamics how transparent women/male relationships are)

One of the things that I’ve always thought about when it comes to male spaces, is one particular reason for their existence. It’s something women can’t get their heads around.

The need to be somewhere, where they are not present.

I think in past days they had this idea that a football game (e.g.) was actually some kind of illuminati gathering where men congregated to discuss the myriad ways we were going to keep them oppressed. In reality of course, the subject of women was never brought up and we were only there because we wanted to enjoy a game without the presence of women and the stressful energy they bring along with them.

They have no respect for any kind of male space, including in the (supposedly) shared home. Most men respect the space of women, they’re quite happy to let their wives and girlfriends’ have a girls night. They even get out of the house or the way in order to let them enjoy themselves fully. This is rarely, if ever, reciprocated. It is certainly never reciprocated without severe hassle and complaint from the females.

It’s not simply that we want a boys only club for patriarchal reasons, we just need a space where women are not there.
